10. GRADUATION DAY

AUTHOR'S POV :

It's been a month already....Yn slowly began to forget the bitter experiences she had endured, emerging from the darkness into the light. However, the sinister that Mr. Lee had described was something she struggled to come to terms with. The magnitude and cruelty of what she had witnessed haunted her, leaving a deep impact that she struggled to process.

Mr. Lee's words echoed inside Yn's mind, reverberating through her head. The revelation that her biological parents had abandoned her,and mr& mrs kang's aren't her biological parents anymore,this  was like a stab to her heart. The emotional pain intensified, and the weight of this reality became unbearable. Yn's thoughts were consumed by the anguish and confusion of her past.

Yn's thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a cheerful voice, Gaeul calling out to her with excitement. "Ynie! Ynie..look here....!" Gaeul's voice was filled with excitement, breaking through Yn's dark thoughts with a tone that demanded attention.

Gaeul with a beaming smile, excitedly shared the news. "Ynahh, look here! We have some exciting news today. Our final results are out, and guess what? You're the 2nd top student in the university overall, and within our department, you're the absolute top scorer and 1 ranked student.congo my dear lovely Pikachuu....."

Yn's eyes widened, and a mixture of surprise and relief washed over her. She turned towards Gaeul, her heart filled with anticipation.
"Really?" Yn's voice trembled with a mix of excitement and disbelief. "Are you serious? We got our final results? And... I'm...I'm the second-ranked student in our whole university? Omo.. oh god...thank you.. thank you... My potato....tq for sharing this wonderful news".

Gaeul was surprised and asked in disbelief, "Haa?, haven't you checked your phone yet? The results were just shared on the university's department group. Check it out!".

Yn responded with a hint of dullness and a hint of cuteness, saying, "Oh..(pout) I lost my phone in a previous scenario. So I don't have one currently." She had a habit of making cute expressions even in serious situations, which added to her endearing personality.

Gaeul, sounding disheartened, exclaimed, "Oh, darn it, I forgot.." She quickly regained her excitement and said, "It's alright, let's buy a new phone. After all, our graduation day is approaching soon. Let's start shopping right now. Get ready quickly; let's go." She encouraged Yo-yeon with a sense of enthusiasm and eagerness, hoping for a fun shopping spree.

Yn also wanted to go with Gaeul, But something was holding her back, an inexplicable fear that kept her rooted to the spot. Without responding to Gaeul, Yn remained silent and motionless, her eyes distant and unfocused.

Gaeul could sense the sudden change and confusion in Yn's eyes , fear and trembling in Yn's body and knew it had nothing to do with her. She gently held Yn's hands and said, "Ynahh...you have nothing to worry about. I've already told you that I'm by your side and always will be. Have courage," Gaeul said, trying to reassure Yn. She then gave a playful wink and added, "Besides, we have bodyguards to protect us."

Yn slightly giggled at her words, listening yn giggles gaeul sighed dramatically and said, "Alright, get ready. I'm gonna call our idiots and let them know we're heading out soon."
Yn easily figured out who Gaeul was referring to as idiots, which brought a small smile to her face. She nodded silently and made her way to freshen up.

In that guest house, there were only about 3-4 maids employed, all of them belonged to the 30+ age group. However, there was one senior and older member named Sarah, who was around or even above 45 to 50 years of age. Yn unexpectedly became quite close to Sarah, to the point where she would often call her 'ajhumma.' Yn would rarely acknowledge that Sarah was a mere maid.
