Maya's best friend, Rhea, an employee at JC Enterprise, was among those invited to the grand inauguration.
Rhea, a fellow architecture enthusiast, was thrilled at the prospect of attending the event.
She knew that Maya, Anya, and Arnav were visiting Thailand and hoped to persuade them to join her.
However, as the day of the inauguration drew near, a sense of unease crept into Rhea's heart. She had heard whispers about the ominous atmosphere surrounding the event and the mysterious threats that had been made.
Despite her excitement, she felt a bit scared as if something was going to happen 😣
Maya screamed in joy when Rhea asked if she and her friends wanted to attend the grand inauguration. After completing her degree in physiotherapy, Maya had been so consumed by her duties that she hadn't had a chance to attend any parties. Anya was getting ready for the hospital . she always felt irritated with her hair was left open so she made it into a messy bun. Wore her work uniform a white coat with the logo of the hospital she worked at .
Left for the hospital but on the way she bought herself a drink to keep herself refreshed.
She reached the hospital's front door and opened it what she saw was hectic.
The hospital was bustling with activity. Patients and visitors filled the waiting rooms, their faces etched with concern and anticipation.
At the reception desk, the staff worked tirelessly to manage the influx of people, their voices raised in a cacophony ( discordant noises ) of greetings and inquiries.
The hospital director, a woman of unwavering determination, was immersed in a whirlwind of meetings and appointments.
Her office door remained closed for most of the day, a symbol of the relentless pressure she faced.
As the sun began to set, she finally emerged, exhausted but resolute. With a sigh of relief, she cleared her desk and prepared to leave
Anya remembered her urgent task.
She had to request a week's leave from the hospital .
With a sense of purpose, she headed towards the director's office, her mind racing with thoughts of the upcoming celebration but still vulnerability was visible
Anya's exhaustion was palpable,

A week-long vacation in Thailand seemed like the perfect escape.
However, she knew that obtaining such a lengthy leave would require a personal conversation with the director. While email requests were sufficient for shorter absences, longer leaves often necessitated face-to-face discussions to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
Anya knocked on the director's office door. There was no immediate response, so she knocked again. A muffled voice, hoarse and tired, called out, "Come in."
Anya pushed the door open and entered the office. The director was sitting behind her desk, her face etched with fatigue. "Please sit," she said, her voice barely whispering. Anya took a seat across from her, her heart pounding in her chest.
Anya cleared her throat. "Director, I'm requesting a week's leave. I'm feeling quite exhausted, and I believe a short break will help me recharge and perform better when I return."
Anya's anxiety began to dissipate. "I'm just a little nervous about asking for such a long leave. I know how busy things can get here."
The director nodded understandingly. "Don't worry, Anya. I understand. As long as you can ensure that your patients are well-cared for during your absence, I'll approve your leave." Anya breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank you, Director. I promise to stay in touch and be available for any emergencies."
With the director's approval in hand, Anya left the office feeling lighter than she had in weeks.
The prospect of a week-long vacation in Thailand filled her with a sense of excitement and anticipation. She couldn't wait to escape the stress of the hospital and recharge her batteries.
Anya rushed home, her heart pounding with excitement. She tossed her bag aside and collapsed onto the sofa, her phone in hand. Turning on the screen flashing on her face
she called Maya, her voice barely containing her enthusiasm.
"Maya, my leave is approved! I'm going with you guys!"
Maya giggled. "I knew you would get it. You're always so scared of the director."
"I know, I know," Anya replied, laughing. "But this is so exciting!"
"Speaking of excitement, we have an invitation, " Maya continued. "Rhea called and said there's an inauguration party happening, and she wants us to go with her."
Anya's eyes widened. "An inauguration party? That sounds fun!" "Arnav bhaiya ( brother) has already said yes, " Maya replied. "We just need you to say yes too, please!" Anya hesitated for a moment. "I'm not sure..." "Come on, Anya," Maya pleaded. "It'll be a great adventure. And you've earned a break."
Anya smiled. "Okay, I'm in." "Yay!" Maya cheered. "I'm so excited! I'm free for the whole week, so we can do whatever you want."
"That sounds perfect," Anya replied. "I'm ready for anything."
