Chapter 6: Hello, Little Hummingbird

Third pov:

It had been hours since Harry had been released from the hospital and it was after dinner. It was a few hours before curfew and right now Harry was wandering around looking for Luna. As Harry walked he thought about what had happened not long after being released from the hospital wing. Harry had eaten breakfast alone then Professor Flitwick had come up to him when he was leaving the great hall taking him to Dumbledore's office. When Harry had arrived at the office Dumbledore wanted to ask him about what happened in the chamber since Ginny could only tell him so much. When arriving at his office he told him only a vague version of what happened saying how he does not remember very well at this time Dumbledore of course believed him telling him it was probably his mind trying to protect him from trauma and it would come back later. When Harry was about to leave Lucius came storming into the office without knocking followed behind by Dobby. Seeing Dobby Harry gave him a wink when no one was looking and mouthed trust me. Harry then stood and stared at Malfoy waiting patiently listening in on the conversation paying close attention to how the two adults before him interacted. Harry could not help but smirk at Malfoy's clear anger at how Harry ruined his plans to have the school be attacked not to mention he had destroyed his master's diary. When Malfoy was leaving he had tricked him into freeing Dobby and a warning. After he had tricked him Malfoy into freeing him. After freeing Dobby Harry had bound himself to him as he thought it do them both good since Dobby could be a big help to him and Harry also believed he do Dobby good to have a master who would treat him well along with understand what it was like to be miss treated. After bonding with Dobby he gave Dobby his first order to apply for a job at Hogwarts while not letting it known that he was bonded to him. Harry waits in an empty classroom and waits patiently for Luna to pass by since Harry had asked Hogwarts for help leading her to him so they could talk in private. Another thing Harry did was use the Marauder map that the Twins had given him to help him during his struggles when everyone believed it was him who had been attacking the school. Harry sees Luna's name get closer and when she is right outside the door but also sees Lockhart not far behind her and heading their way. Worried for her Harry acted fast since Lockhart gave Harry major pedophile vibes. Harry quickly opens the door and grabs Luna covering her mouth and uses his wand to shut the door putting up strong silencing charms lock charms and notice me not charms. Feeling Luna struggle in his arms he whispers in her ear.

Harry-"Hello, Little Hummingbird please forgive me. I'm sorry for scaring you but we must talk without anyone interrupting us."

Harry feels Luna relax he lets her go and Luna turns around and smacks Harry hard across the face. Harry did not fight back as he just looked at her holding his burning cheek. When he looked at Luna he saw tears welling up in her eyes. As tears fell Luna started hitting him in the chest and Harry just stood there taking it then she started hitting him more than once every 5 seconds throwing haymakers she started sobbing. Harry pulls her into a hug and holds her as she struggles and hits him while sobbing. Her words were not coherent but Harry knew she was calling him a jerk and saying how he forgot her after so many years of not knowing then now here he was scaring her. Harry did not fight or stop her just let her rant and hit him as he held her. After a while, she stopped hitting his chest and grabbed a fist full of his shirt while she sobbed in his chest. Harry hugs her one arm wrapped around her back while her other hand holds the back of her head cradling it. Harry holds Luna feeling conflicted. Luna was his childhood crush but was forced to forget and now there was Hermione a girl he started crushing on when he had no memories of Luna. Now with his memories restored old feelings return and Harry feels conflicted because he feels the same for Luna as he does for Hermione. It was because of his contradicting feelings Harry knew that he would not be confessing to Hermione when she woke up as he planned. Harry pushed his thoughts and conflicting feelings down so he could fully focus on the younger blonde in his arms.

Harry-*holds Luna and whispers*"Hummingbird I am so sorry for the pain and loneliness you have no doubt felt over the years but please know I never would intentionally forget about you or do that to you. Please let me explain everything then you can decide if you want me out of your life. I will accept any choice you make just please give me a chance to explain."

Luna-*sniffles and whispers brokenly*"You have 35 minutes but I want to know everything no secrets Harry Potter."

Harry-"As you wish, my Hummingbird. It all started when Maggy had her first case of accidental magic....."
