Karthik couldn't stop worrying about Siya after what she told him. He remembered her voice was shaking when she shared everything. The memory of her telling him how Rajeev tried to molest her was not leaving his mind, making him more tense with each passing moment. He felt guilty, helpless, and angry all at once. He wanted to help her no matter what.
Karthik paced back and forth in his office, running his hand through his hair as he thought about their conversation.
Siya was his friend and meant a lot to him. He should have been there to protect her, but he wasn't. He didn't even know if she had told Arjun everything or if she was still trying to handle it on her own.
He knew how much this project meant to her, even if it meant risking her safety.
This made him even more worried for her.
No, he couldn't stay silent. Arjun had to know, no matter what. He wasn't going to let her risk herself for the project or the company.
If no one else, then he would tell Arjun everything.
But just as he made up his mind, he realized a big problem-he didn't have Arjun's number. Of course, he didn't. It's not like the boss's number was handed out to everyone.
He became frustrated, but then he remembered something Aarav had given him his number.
Without wasting any more time, Karthik grabbed his phone and quickly looked through his contacts until he found Aarav's number. His fingers were shaking slightly as he dialed, feeling like every second dragged on until Aarav finally answered.
"Hello, who's this?" Aarav's voice was calm but a bit confused.
"It's Karthik Arora, Aarav. Do you remember me?"
Karthik replied quickly, trying to keep urgency out of his voice.
There was a brief pause before Aarav's voice softened as he recognized him.
"Yes, I remember. What's up? Why are you calling?" He asked.
Karthik hesitated for a second, wondering if he should explain everything. But he knew he needed to talk to Arjun first.
"It's urgent, Aarav. I need Arjun's number. It's something important about the company." His voice was firm.
Aarav was quiet for a moment, clearly puzzled.
"Why do you need his number? What's so important?" He inquired.
Karthik clenched his jaw. He didn't want to drag Aarav into this unless necessary.
"It's a sensitive issue, Aarav. I can't explain right now, but please, trust me-it's critical. Just send me his number." He pleads.
Aarav seemed to sense that Karthik was serious. After a brief pause, he agreed.
"Alright, I'll send it to you. But you owe me an explanation later."
"Thank you!" Karthik said, feeling a wave of relief as Aarav hung up.
Within seconds, Arjun's number appeared on his screen. Karthik didn't waste a moment; he dialed it immediately.
Meanwhile, in a high-rise restaurant across the city, Arjun was in the middle of an important meeting with investors from the U.S. This deal was crucial, it could take his company to the next level. But just as he was about to present his next point, his phone buzzed in his pocket.
