Chapter 2

Night slowly covered the sky,moonlight decorates the blackish cover of the sweet night ... diana awake in her bedroom still in her gown of soft white and baby blue ,delicate palms resting upon her own lap as she was sitting next to the balcony of her own bedroom.

DIANA'S POV!

the spoiled daughter of the pope,arrogant and selfish..in front of me this morning she was a timid docile woman,even seemed afraid..I honestly feel bad for her I can't imagine living in another kingdom with a whole new environment and customs...but I can't help but feel off ,is she hiding her true colors for now?NO! , seriously it's rude to make up assumptions about people especially that now she's a member of omerta i must be polite .

a sigh escaped her rosie lips as she rubbed her face,the holy fire giving warmth to her bedroom as she closed her eyes for a moment before....

SCREAMING. blinking as she got up from her chair upon hearing this scream ,what on earth is going on?!

the blonde rushed out of her bedroom and towards the bedroom of ruby,the both bedrooms weren't really far from each other just three or four steps,upon entering the bedroom she saw Ellen standing at the doorway while iske slaughtered a demonic monster just now .

" ruby!? "Diana said softly,worry obvious on her face as she entered the room,gently holding the other's hand to help her stand up.

" oh dear you must've been frightened by this "she added while looking at her,making sure she wasn't hurt as she looked at her .

" i-i am fine don't worry dee "the blonde said softly,trying to push a smile on her face.

" Why did you do it? "iske's calm yet cold voice made the warmth ruby feel suddenly vanish .

" pardon? "ruby asked,with an uneasy smile as she looked at him.

" Why did you extinguish the holy fire? "he asked again.

" Iske!? "diana said softly,despite her soft voice her expression seemed displeased with her elder cousin's accusation.

" n-no i didn't .. "ruby tried to say,but of course iske's intimidating presence wasn't helping.

" You're attracting plenty of attention as it is without the need to pull a stunt like this unless..you're planning on using this as one of your excuses to break up this marriage "he said calmly,his gaze enough to cut through anything. ruby coloured eyes resembling the blood colouring a battlefield.

" i didn't know your definition of romance is accusing your wife when you first meet her "diana said softly,her hand delicately placed on ruby's back while standing next to her .

" Iske you cannot just start accusing someone like that we don't know exactly what happened yet,suppose ruby did put it out we can't criticize her since she probably wasn't aware of what the fire was for holy fires aren't as commonly lit in romana as they are here "Ellen explained to iske as she walked towards him.

" she has got a point iz,besides ruby is still not used to the environment here and got a lot to know you've to be easy on her "diana added as she was still standing next to ruby,her cerulean blues were as if scolding iske while looking at him.

" it..it was so cold "ruby spoke softly,taking hiding behind ellen and diana as she tugged Ellen's sleeve .

" What?speak up "iske said.

" I mean th-the fire had already died when I had woken up "she replied in a more clearer way,but still staying behind the two maidens.

" Then are you suggesting somebody else did it?and who could that be?my sister?me?or my younger cousin "he asked and folded his arms.
