It was a Christmas afternoon, and my childhood friends, who were also my church mates, convinced me to join them for a casual outing. I had been waiting for seven long years to gain admission into a federal university, and finally, my dream was about to come true. I was eager to start studying music, a passion that had driven me since high school.
As we strolled outside a bustling restaurant, our eyes met across the crowd. His gaze caught mine, and I felt an inexplicable connection. We exchanged smiles, and before parting ways, we shared our contacts under the guise of friendship. Little did I know that this chance encounter would change the trajectory of my life.
He was in his early forties, while I was in my twenties. Our age difference didn't deter me, as I was drawn to his charismatic presence. I began visiting him for dinner, and my initial reservations melted away with each passing day. My naivety led me to let my guard down, and I found myself falling deeply in love.
