True intentions
Ohh, i like that woman
As Brock and Sera arrived home, Brock spent most of the day in front of his computer, browsing Google, Wikipedia, and other websites, determined to uncover more about his ancestor, Hunter. He was searching for any alternate accounts or hidden truths that might shed light on Hunter's actions. However, he found nothing of significant interest; all sources agreed on one point: Hunter was a malevolent servant of the monster.
He then searched for information about the monster itself, known as Galfadon, which was said to have attacked the world thousands of years ago. Galfadon was described as an immensely powerful being, but none of the websites provided details on how the monster came into the world. In the war that followed, the five kingdoms united their last forces to confront the monster, and all five were ultimately destroyed.
Brock's frustration grew. Why did his ancestor aid the monster? Did he lead a different life before this? Maybe learning more about the five kingdoms could bring him closer to his goal. Unfortunately, there was little information available online about these lost kingdoms. But Brock had another idea: llum Estrella.
He hurried downstairs, grabbing his green jacket from the coat rack.
"I'm going to the village!" Brock called into the kitchen, where he could hear his mother preparing dinner. He was about to open the front door when he heard his name.
"Brock, where are you going at this hour?" His mother called out from the kitchen, sounding concerned.
"I... um..." He hesitated, not wanting to reveal his true reason, knowing he would likely be told it was a waste of time. "I suddenly became very interested in our history and wanted to learn more. Do you know anyone who might be knowledgeable about it?"
His mother looked at him suspiciously, as if sensing the lie, but eventually nodded slowly. "Try Esmeralda. She's a very blonde lady and a storyteller in the village. Her house should be near the Foc statue. You'll recognize it when you smell lavender."
Brock thanked his mother and sprinted out of the house, hearing her call after him to return before it was too late for dinner.
As he made his way to the village, his stomach growled again, reminding him that he hadn't eaten lunch. He had been too engrossed in his computer work, and when his mother had come to his room, angry after calling him three times, he had promised to join her for dinner. He had to hurry.
Llum Estrela was a breathtaking place in the late evening. Everywhere, lamps were lit and candles burned in the windows of the houses. The Terra statue was illuminated with many candles, and Brock couldn't help but smile slightly. These statues were truly masterpieces—who could have created them? Even in the darkness, villagers wandered about. Brock pulled his hood down a bit to hide his orange hair; he really didn't want any trouble or angry glances.
As he headed towards the Foc statue, he felt like a spy on a secret mission. He was not exactly welcome in the village, whether by day or night, and this was his first time being out so late and alone. It felt wrong.
Finally, he arrived at the Foc statue, a muscular woman surrounded by flames. Now, he just needed to find Esmeralda. He walked a little further when the smell of lavender gradually reached his nose. Brock followed the scent and came upon a small house. Instead of the red decorations of the other houses, this one had violet ones. How strange. He climbed the few wooden steps and stood in front of the door, the lavender scent now very strong. Violet paper birds hung from the eaves, and a wind chime danced slightly in the gentle breeze.
