He thought the JL headquarters would provide some peace. For the last 72 hours everyone had been talking about how Bruce Wayne kissed Superman. Even his kids were hounding him and Jason had broken a six month cone of silence just to laugh at him over the phone. He knew his kids were just teasing. The media saw it as another Brucie move. His colleagues however. They were somehow worse.

Even though it was Bats night to watch the tower everyone was there to try and speak with Sups. Superman wouldn't stop gushing. Though Superman had been putting up an honest effort not talk about it but he walked around with a handsome annoying idiotic grinning. Though Flash and Arrow had been under cover for a few days so this was their first chance to bring it up. Di and Arthur were tired of hearing the same story over and over, but liked the new perspective. Meanwhile Hal came up with a new joke every ten minutes. Jon found ways to excuse himself every time Wayne was thought of. Bats didn't want to know why. He heard the small talk on the coms for nearly thirty minutes before he snapped.

"Coms are for emergency use and team missions. Clear the frequency," he growled.

They went silent and one by one people muted their coms. His mood lifted as he finally got some quiet. But it didn't last very long. The bay door opened behind him, and Sups joined him in the monitor room.

"Thanks for the save," he whispered.

Bats just glared at him, not showing he was confused. He was definitely confused but hatred was winning out for the moment.

"I just mean everyone wants my opinion. Why did he kiss me? If I'll see him again? Blah. Blah. I'm just thankful you killed the mood," he hummed.

"Glad to rain on the parade," he quipped.

Superman stared at him for a long moment then sighed defeatedly.

"Can I talk to you about it?" Sups asked.

Batman grunted. He really didn't want to hear this.

"I just think you will have a better solution than the rest of them," Sups said. "The problem is, I honestly like Wayne. Like me out of the suit thinks Wayne is amazing but he looks through me like glass. Suddenly I saved him as Superman and now he's interested."

Bats looked at him. He didn't know he knew Superman as a civilian. Though it didn't change his mood. Bruce was brash, brazen, bull shit. Bruce was a liar and faker and the world knew it. How could he have won Superman over as that idiot? And why did he hate Superman for it? Not that he could ever hate Superman. No. He was the embodiment of everything he wished Wayne could be... if he wasn't Batman.

"Sorry am I boring you with my personal life?" Superman frowned.

"I have no idea why you like that brainless idiot and it's not my place," Superman stopped him.

"I thought you were the world's greatest detective. But it seems Wayne has fooled you like everyone else," Superman huffed.

He paused and he realized that Superman fell for the Knight White Act. Bruce was dumb but nice... to those less fortunate. That's what everyone thought. Of course, the man of steel feel for the philanthropist bleeding heart part of his alter. Now it was Batman's turn to be the liar.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean have you ever looked into him?" Superman asked.

"Just enough to know he's not a criminal," Batman responded.

"He gives millions to the poor. Every building he buys is renovated, not destroyed. He treats some people like they aren't worth his time but have you ever seen him with kids or the elderly. Gotham General reports medical bills disappearing overnight and the payments are traced back to his off shore accounts like he doesn't want the press. Yet he will speak on charities that are important to him for hours."
