LOVE IN DECEPTION
·°•——————————•°·

Eunhee woke up to the sound of her alarm blaring in her small, cluttered room. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, yawned, and swung her legs over the side of the bed. Her gaze drifted to the bookshelf across from her, the spines of her textbooks and notes beckoning her to start the day.

She got dressed in her usual attire - a crisp white shirt, a pleated skirt, and her hair tied back in a neat ponytail. Eunhee didn't bother with makeup or accessories; she had more important things on her mind.

As she headed to the kitchen, her eyes scanned the notes and schedules pinned to the fridge. Her mom had left for work already, but Eunhee knew exactly what to do. She poured herself a bowl of cereal, added milk, and sat down at the table.

Her phone buzzed with a reminder - "Study group meeting at 3 PM." Eunhee nodded to herself, making a mental note to review her notes beforehand.

With her breakfast finished, Eunhee grabbed her backpack and headed out the door. The bus ride to school was uneventful, Eunhee using the time to review her notes and make a to-do list for the day , But sometimes she would look at the side path seeing students flowing to the university.

As she walked into class, Eunhee's saw him - the campus king, Park Sunghoon and his all time friends Jay and Jake. They made a powerful trio. They had power all over the campus. They always had girl around them. Jay was a flirty person, going around flirting with most of the girls in the campus. But Jake and Sunghoon was decent. They never seem to have interest in girls. But she never ever had interest in them. She had more important things to do. Pushing her silly thoughts away, She started focusing on finding her seat.

The professor began the lecture, and Eunhee's attention was riveted. She took notes, asked questions, and participated in discussions. Sunghoon, on the other hand, seemed disinterested, his gaze drifting around the room. Playing with his pen and scribbling on his note. But that wasn't something Eunhee should care. Her only job is to study right now.

At lunchtime, Eunhee sat alone in the library, devouring her sandwich and reviewing her notes. Her lunch time was like this. She never goes into the cafeteria. Why would she? Just to see everyone enjoying their lunch with their friends laughing and playing?
Besides why would she when she can get more time reviewing her not while eating?

As the afternoon wore on, Eunhee attended her study group meeting, leading the discussion on the latest chapter in their textbook. Her classmates looked up to her, seeking guidance and clarification on complex concepts. She liked the fact that she can mingle with someone while doing this. She liked telling them how to study, which are the important parts etc.

After the meeting, Eunhee headed to the library, determined to get a head start on her homework. She spent hours poring over her notes, making flashcards, and summarizing key points.

As the sun began to set, Eunhee packed up her things and headed home. Her mom was already there, cooking dinner in the kitchen.

"Eunhee, how was your day?" her mom asked, as Eunhee hung up her backpack.

"It was good, Mom," Eunhee replied, taking a seat at the table. "I got a lot done."

Her mom smiled, proud of her daughter's dedication. "You're going to do great things, Eunhee. I just know it."

Eunhee smiled back, feeling a sense of determination wash over her. She was going to be the best, no matter what it took.

Sunghoon strode across campus, his long legs eating up the distance. His sharp jawline and piercing gaze commanded attention, but he seemed oblivious to the admiring glances. His dark hair was perfectly messy, and his tailored clothes accentuated his lean physique.

As the heir to the prestigious Park Co-oporation, Sunghoon exuded an aura of confidence and power. His cold, calculating eyes seemed to bore into those he met, as if sizing them up. His smile was rare, and his laughter even rarer.

For him, Love and relationships were distractions, unworthy of his time. He had no patience for games or flirtations, and his words were always laced with a hint of disdain.

As he entered the university's business building, whispers followed him. "That's Park Sunghoon...so rich and handsome... intimidating too."

As he entered the class Sunghoon's gaze swept the room, his eyes locking onto a figure in the corner – Eunhee, the class topper. For a moment, their eyes met, and Eunhee felt a shiver run down her spine. Seeing his emotionless eye looking at her she felt like the centre of attention. But Sunghoon's expression remained unreadable, and he turned away walking towards his seat with his friends.

As Sunghoon sat in his seat, Jay and Jake exchanged a knowing glance. They had witnessed the brief, intense moment between Sunghoon and Eunhee.

"Did you see that?" Jay whispered, nudging Jake. "Sunghoon's got a thing for the class topper."

Jake raised an eyebrow. "Or maybe he's just intrigued by her indifference. Either way, this is getting interesting."

The two friends sauntered over to sunghoon, who was lost in nowhere.

"Hey, Sunghoon! What's up?" Jay asked, trying to sound nonchalant.

"Weren't we together like just a minute ago Jay?"Sunghoon sighed, "drop it, what do you want?"

Jake grinned mischievously. "Oh there's nothing, We're just observing the dynamics of our beloved Sunghoon. He seems to have taken an interest in someone."

Sunghoon looked at them, unbelievable. "Don't be ridiculous. You're  saying this just because I gazed at that topper? Ughh I cant understand you two"

Jay chuckled. "So you know were talking about Eunhee huh?"

"Really? You guys know she's the only one I looked this morning, if I gazed at Jay would you say I got a thing for him too?"Sunghoon spoke done by these two.

"Eww, no way!  I'm straight ok? " Jay said not wanting Jake to answer that.

Sunghoon shook his head, dismissing the conversation. "Forget it, guys. I have more important things to focus on."

Jay and Jake exchanged a knowing glance, but said nothing more. They knew Sunghoon's priorities lay with his family's business and his own ambitions.

As the lecture began, Sunghoon's gaze drifted around the room, his eyes scanning the notes on the board. He was calculating, always thinking several steps ahead.

Eunhee, on the other hand, was focused intently on the professor, her pen moving swiftly across her notebook. She was determined to absorb every detail.

The contrast between them was striking - Sunghoon, the campus king, exuding confidence and power, and Eunhee, the class topper, radiating intelligence and dedication.

But for now, their worlds were separate, their paths crossing only briefly in the vast universe of the university.
