chapter 1
enemies now

Jordella, who is now a politician doesn't seem to enjoy life very much. Although it is successful, he feels as if it were empty. Like a snail's shell desperately waiting for an owner to claim it.

He has money, a job, love from many.. but he longed for something more. A spark that would bright up his dark life in just a second, he longs for that feeling... his high school days. Oh how fond he was during that time in life, you could say it's thanks to a certain someone, which is now long gone..

Friday
7:21 AM

like every morning, he always goes to his usual cafe for his morning coffee. This time though, the cafe was closed so he had no other choice but to go to another one nearby.

*small timeskip at the cafe*

he stands near the counter as he waits for his drink to be made.

"J-jordan..?" A familiar voice called out his name.

jordan turned his head back to see the owner of the voice, but there was no one there. Could it be his imagination...? Who is this? he thought.

he then noticed a wallet on the ground, he picked it up and opened it without thinking, obviously not for devious reasons.

his eyes widened, head empty, his hands shaking. It was... gabriel attal?! Was he the one who had called out his name earlier?

he ran outside on impulse completely ignoring everything else, he only had one thing in mind, and that was to see gabriel

fortunately for him, he wasn't too late and he saw a man running to a corner, he followed him "hey! hey! wait up! stop running!" jordan yelled in hopes he actually would.

the man heard him, he knew every single why he was chasing him, he knew it all too well. Even so, he didn't stop running and ran to another corner, jordan still not losing sight of him "damn it, I forgot you were the fastest kid in Highschool" he thought to himself, but forced himself to snap out of it, "it's no time to be reminiscing of the old days"

he followed him into the corner, weirdly enough, no one was there. it was just an empty dead end.
did he see it wrong? no he couldn't have. did fate bring them apart?

"yo, jordan." a sudden voice said that was out of his peripheral vision.

it's the same voice from earlier! "GABRIE-" he called out quickly turning behind him to see this man, but he was met with a warm embrace out of nowhere. it was silent for a few seconds, Gabriel's arms still around jordan's. His touch said more than a mouth ever could.

a spark.

jordan felt it, the nostalgic feeling, the affection and warmth he longed for; him.
could he finally get it all back? Could he finally be happy? As long as he had gabriel by his side, his life could finally be colorful again just like how it was before.

"I missed you gabriel." he confessed, his arms interlinked.

"I missed you too." gabriel said with such a sincere tone.

"THEN LETS STAY TOGETHE-" jordan couldnt hide his happiness any longer, he was so happy he's finally with him again, who cares about anything else?? I have him now. but his happiness and request was quickly turned down

"no," Gabriel stated calmly as he lets go of Jordan's arms. "we can't be together."

Jordan's smile quickly faded into confusion. "what?.." his heart sank, the vibe he was getting felt off. "what do you mean we can't be together? After all these years of being apart?! what about our promise we made in highschool? Don't you feel anything for me? For us?"

"i do." He admitted avoiding eye contact "but it's gone now."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS GONE NOW?! DID OUR HIGHSCHOOL DAYS WE SPENT TOGETHER MEAN NOTHING TO YOU?? WAS I JUST SOME SIDE CHICK YOU LOVE BOMBED!?

"no.. that's not it, jordan. I am fond of our past and I still haven't forgotten our promise together." Gabriel admitted, his expression was unrecognizable.

"then what's stopping you? why are you so hesitant to be with me??" he questioned him in a passive aggressive tone.

"You don't get it jordan. We were just highschoolers with a dream, we were friends I admit-." Gabriel was then interrupted "tu ne peux pas être serieux right now, putain. dream? friends? there is no way you thought of us as just that. Right?." said a distressed Jordan

"but..." gabriel spoke up, this time, he looked at him straight in the eye.

"we're enemies now."

he stated firmly. "We are nothing more than politicians, so from now on, our past should no longer be disclosed, don't even treat it like a memory." He said with a stoic and emotionless face.
Jordan could only stand there, no words could come out of his mouth that moment, and before it could, gabriel had already left.
