Naina stood frozen in front of the mirror in the washroom, still in shock from her unexpected fall earlier. Her heart was still racing from the intimate moment she shared with Dev, and now, this. She quickly turned her head to check herself, feeling an uncomfortable wetness. Her eyes widened in sudden realization—her pad had started to leak. The embarrassment hit her like a wave.

She gasped, her face flushing deep red. How could this happen now? The dance, the rush of emotions—it was too much. She needed to handle this, and fast.

Before she could gather her thoughts, the door to the washroom opened, and Preeti’s concerned voice came through. "Naina? Are you okay?"

Naina quickly wiped away the panic on her face and turned to face Preeti, forcing a small smile. "Preeti… I… I’m sorry, but my pad just started to leak. I had to run to the washroom." Her voice was almost a whisper, mortified by the situation.

Preeti's eyes softened immediately, and she stepped into the washroom without hesitation. "Oh no, that’s awful! Are you alright?" Her tone was full of care, her hands instinctively reaching for her bag. "Don’t worry, I’ve got you."

Naina shook her head, trying to hold herself together, but Preeti was already pulling out a fresh pad and a set of new clothes from her bag. "Here," Preeti said, her voice calm and soothing. "You go change inside . I’ll wait outside, just take your time."

Naina nodded, a little overwhelmed by the kindness. She took the clothes and the pad, feeling a small sense of relief. She quickly changed, trying to push away the embarrassment. When she stepped back out, Preeti was waiting with a comforting smile.

"Better?" Preeti asked gently.

Naina sighed, feeling a bit more composed. "Yeah, much better now. Thank you, Preeti. I don’t know what I would’ve done without you." Her voice was sincere, grateful for her friend’s support.

Preeti smiled warmly. "You don’t have to thank me, Naina. That’s why you have me." She paused for a moment, her expression changing to one of concern. "But, you should go home and rest. You’ve had a long day."

Naina hesitated, the thought of going home sounding like a good idea, but she didn’t want to worry her friend. "I’ll be fine. I’ll just book a cab and go straight home. You don’t need to stay with me."

Preeti raised an eyebrow, not convinced. "Are you sure? You’re not alone, Naina. Let me take you home."

But Naina shook her head, offering a soft smile. "No really, Preeti. I’ll be fine. You’ve been with me all day, you need your rest too. I’ll just book a cab and head home."

Preeti didn’t look fully convinced but respected her decision. "Okay, but if anything happens, call me immediately, alright?"

"I will, I promise," Naina replied, her tone reassuring.
