As Shirabu and Semi walked along the sun-dappled street, the warmth of the summer day enveloped them in a comforting embrace. The silence between them wasn't awkward but peaceful, a shared quiet that spoke of understanding and familiarity. There was something inherently soothing about being in each other's company, even without words. The gentle rustling of leaves overhead and the distant hum of the city created a backdrop to their unspoken connection.

Shirabu glanced at Semi out of the corner of his eye, feeling a strange mix of contentment and curiosity. Semi had always been a grounding presence in his life, but now, with so many gaps in his memory, he found himself drawn to the small nuances of their interactions, trying to piece together the past through the present.

Semi broke the silence first. "So, I went to the hospital with your mom today," he began, his voice carrying a casual tone, but there was an underlying tenderness that Shirabu couldn't miss.

"Yeah, I heard," Shirabu replied, his curiosity piqued. "Is she alright?"

Semi nodded, a soft smile playing on his lips. "They're saying her health is really stable right now. In fact, it's slightly improved since her last visit."

"That's good to hear," Shirabu said, offering a smile in return. Though his emotions were dulled by the amnesia, he knew that hearing such news should fill him with happiness. He could sense the remnants of that joy, like echoes of a life he couldn't quite remember.

Semi seemed to sense his internal struggle, his gaze lingering on Shirabu a moment longer before he spoke again. "Also," Semi added, catching Shirabu's attention with a slight change in his tone, "I went to visit your doctor while I was there."

Shirabu raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What for?"

"I had a few questions," Semi replied, his expression turning a bit sheepish.

"Questions?" Shirabu echoed, a small smirk forming. "About what?"

"Well," Semi began, rubbing the back of his neck, "I wanted to ask if you were able to go out and drink now that you've recovered. The doctor told me you can, but you should be careful with how much you drink."

Shirabu chuckled, the question seeming to come out of nowhere. "That's such a random thing to ask."

Semi grinned, the tension easing from his shoulders. "It might seem random, but it's because I miss going out and drinking with you. It used to be our thing—going out, and unwinding after a long day. I was wondering if you'd like to go with me to the bar tonight?"

The offer caught Shirabu off guard, not because it was surprising, but because it felt like a piece of his old life was being handed back to him. The idea of going out, and having a drink with Semi, felt like a small step toward normalcy—a normalcy he desperately wanted to reclaim.

Shirabu considered it for a moment before nodding, a genuine smile spreading across his face. "Yeah, I'd like that. It sounds like it could be fun."

Semi's eyes lit up with relief and excitement. "Great! It'll be just like old times," he said, though there was an unspoken understanding between them that it wouldn't be exactly the same. But that didn't matter. What mattered was that they were both trying to move forward, to rebuild what had been lost.

As they continued to walk, the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a warm golden glow over everything. Semi and Shirabu walked side by side, chatting and laughing
