Chapter 1

Lily Luna Potter's POV
"Bye Lily, I love you so much, have a good year, see you at Christmas!" I hear Mum's voice calling throughout the crowd using her magic so that her voice reaches my ears. I wave at her and Dad and mouth 'Bye, love you too' to them.
"All abroad The Hogwarts Express!" One of the conductors yells yet I still hear it even with the loud noises of children talking and parents crying. "Lily Luna Potter!" Someone calls my name from inside the train.
    I look up at the windows and see my brother, James. "What do you want, James?" I question him. "Let's hope you don't puke your guts out on the train again like last year." He and some of his friends laugh. I hate my James and all his friends, especially Scorpius his best friend. He was the schools bad boy, picking up girls and using them, then he would dump them.
    "Don't listen to a word that little shit says, Lily." My best friend Rose comes up to me and slings her arm over my shoulder. "Let's get on the train, it'll be leaving soon." She says as she pulls me into a the door of the train.
    She then drags me into a cabin with no one inside. "Thanks Rose." I mutter as she sits in front of me. "Of course, I'm not letting that little dumb dumb get away with everything. Want a Bertie Bott's Jelly Bean?" She offers me one of the Jelly but I shake my head.
    "No thanks, I don't want the same thing that happened last year to happen again." I chuckle. I sighs and continues eating the Jelly Beans, occasionally eating a disgusting one, to which I laughed at her when she spat them out in disgust.
At Hogwarts
    I fall over onto my bed, almost falling asleep until Rose comes in and shakes me violently. "Hurry up, it's dinner! Your dad's about to give the toast!" She screams. Right, forgot my Dad was the Headmaster this year, ever since Headmistress McGonagall retired she said that Dad should take up her position, so he did.
"Fine, let's go now then." I sigh and groan as I get up and walk down to the Great Hall, sitting down in my seat I look around noticing my brother, Albus studying, and James doing something stupid with his friends.
"Hello students! Welcome to this year! My name is Professor Potter, this is my first year being the Headmaster of Hogwarts, but it is not my first time being in this school. I hope your school year will be the best of the best, and let's all hope you guys pass your O.W.L.S. Another reminder for 5th years, this year you'll be finding your mates, so if you need help with anything, please tell any of the teachers including me. And for the finale, let's welcome the new first years!" Dad shouts as he stands at the head of the building. He goes to sit down and then the first years come in.
I don't pay attention to the first years, instead I look around the Great Hall, first looking at the Hufflepuff Table, then the Ravenclaw Table, and then finally, the Slytherin Table. I spot Scorpius, his gaze averted but in a couple of seconds he spins his head around and stares at me . I don't know why but my heart softened, it was like I was living for Scorpius. But I didn't want that, never.
    Scorpius winks before looking back to his girlfriend and my heart chips a little. His girlfriend was younger than him, she was 15, my age. She had found her mate but denied him, making him fall into depression.
    "I'm so fucking hungry!" Rose exclaims quietly as we all wait for the feast to start. "I know, why are there so many first years this year!?" I whisper to her. She shrugs her shoulders, her hair falling to her back.
    "I'm going to go to the bathroom, I'll be back in a couple minutes, Rose." I say quietly and stand up, making my way to the side bathroom. I slide inside one of the many bathroom stalls and lock the stall door. I hear the door open and high heels clacking against the marble floors. 'Those are the loudest shoes I've ever heard' I thought to myself.
    "Oh my gosh! Scorpi said that I looked so beautiful tonight!l The girl squealed to her friends, right then I knew it was Scorpius' girlfriend, Elara. "I can't wait for him to mark me!" She squealed again and I heard a purse unzipping. I bet they were putting on makeup, again. That's basically the only thing they know how to do, and gossiping, a lot.
I get out of the bathroom stall, walking quickly to the sink and washes my hands. "Oh look who's here, Lily Luna Potter." She said and laughed. God, I hated her. "Nice to see you too, Elara." I say politely. I was never really the person to be mean, it was always just so hard to be mean to others.
"Tell my brother I say hi." I continue and dry-off my hands by shaking them. She laughed demonically, "Sure, bitch." She cackles with her friends and continues putting on makeup. I sigh and walk out of the bathroom, cracking my knuckles and wrists.
I sit back down beside Rose, seeing her eat up the feast happily. I wondered how Rose was so happy all the time, maybe it's because the love of her life was her mate. "Hey, enjoying the feast?" I question her and nudge her side. She looks up from her food, nods and then goes back to eating, gosh I wonder how I ended up with such an amazing best friend.
