Heavily based off of the song "Hey there Delilah" by the Plain White Ts. I twisted it and created Paul McDowell.
Paul was always left alone. He was seen as a dark kid. When Elodie (Delilah) began to befriend him, he was immediately attacked by the hip. They were good friends until Elodie left in High School. She didn't move physically, but she left him behind, as the prettiest girl in school. Paul was alone again. But he had planned to ask Elodie out at the beginning of the year. Her rejection was crushing for Paul. His brain and heart were destroyed. He began to follow her around, denying all accusations, and her rejection. Every night he would go home and cry. He sends her love letters often in the form of songs. "1000 miles seems pretty far, but they've got planes and trains and cars. I'd walk to you if I had no other way." This was one thing he sent to Elodie
SPOILERS PAST THIS POINT
Elodie loves Paul too, but she can't say anything. In fact, she is sad that she can't respond to Paul's feelings. But since she can't, Paul is driven into a deep state of depression, she actually stops him from hanging himself after a jumping from a group of guys who liked Elodie.
