Once you got to your car you sat there for a few minutes trying to process that weird encounter, the man you saw, each time you got shivers was when he was near you, but him being nice enough to pay for the rest of your groceries,
It all left you in confusion wondering if he was just some nice stranger that just so happens to be the one next to you each time you got shivers in that store, maybe you were just cold and should have brought a jacket with you considering it was a bit cold out during this time of year...
After you realize how long you were just sitting there you started the car and drove out of the parking lot and headed home. The drive was quiet because you hadn't thought to turn on the radio leaving you in your thoughts, you didn't like the fact how much that encounter was stuck in your head you really just didn't want to think about it anymore dismissing it as you just being over reactive but you just couldn't shake the feeling out of your brain that something was off about that stranger...
Once you got to your apartment you grabbed your groceries and quickly walked up the stairs and into your apartment, once you got back you let out a breath you didn't even notice holding you locked the door immediately after getting inside, you unpacked your groceries a bit mentally exhausted over everything happening in the span of an hour in a half
You noticed that everything you did was with a hint of paranoia, you decided to put some earplugs on and play music in a way to keep your mind occupied...
After you ate dinner you did the dishes and put a movie on, you had forgotten about the encounter with some help from listening to you favorite music and cooking your favorite food, so you sat on the couch watching the movie while slowly falling asleep every think seemed to be muted out by your sleepy mind and your eye lids slowly closing...
You were startled awake by loud knocking your mind going immediately into a panic mode you freeze up for a few seconds before getting up and slowly but quietly walking over to the door you look out the small door peep hole and see a drunk guy you didn't recognize. You slowly open the door leaving the top of the lock still close just in case he tried to forcefully open the door
You: h-hello I think you got the wrong apartment...
The drunk man turned to the door stumbling a bit in the process
Stranger: well hello gorgeous what are you doing in my house this fine night? His words slurred as he was trying to talk to you
You: im sorry sir this is not your apartment your at the wrong place... you were getting more nervous by the minute and tried to remain calm
Stranger: huh no this is my house it clearly says 102!
The man pointed at the door number that said 105
You: U-ummm that says 105 sir
Stranger: what did you say to me bitch! He grabs your hand forcefully and tries to make you come out of the protection of your home
You: o-ow! let go of me! You force your hand back in and slam the door shut and lock it ignoring his attempts at opening the door and banging it, you look down at your hand seeing a bruise start to form, you sigh to yourself and lean against the door, but then you realized the drunk man's banging and screaming stopped, you look back out the peep hole and see no one there almost like he vanished in thin air leaving you completely confused and paranoid of that drunk man's whereabouts...
A few hours later you decided it's time to go to bed and do your nightly routine, you start to wonder where that drunk man went and if he made it to his actual apartment, but suddenly you got a thought that maybe something happened to him, you quickly shake that feeling off not wanting to worry yourself before sleeping...
