We stepped into a lavish boutique filled with clothing from vintage elegance to classic sophistication. The further we ventured inside, the emptier it seemed.

“What can I do for you, sir?” A saleswoman asked, her eyes shamelessly roaming over my husband. She didn’t even try to hide it.

“We’ll look around on our own.” I kept my tone direct, tugging Abhishek along as I laced my fingers with his, leading him away.

“They should really hire male workers,” I muttered under my breath, catching the smug smile that played on Abhi’s lips. He thinks I’m jealous? Damn right, I am.

After wandering the store and trying on a few dresses, I was convinced that nothing matched my style. I wasn’t about to settle.

"Kashvi."

"Hmm."

“Try this,” Abhi suggested, holding up a dress. The moment my eyes landed on it, I knew I’d love it. It was a stunning emerald green, elegant and bold. How had I missed this?

I slipped into the dress but hesitated to step out

I slipped into the dress but hesitated to step out. Abhi had chosen this dress for me, and the thought of disappointing him made my heart pound. What if he thinks it doesn’t suit me? What if he regrets picking it?

Taking a deep breath, I finally emerged, nerves on edge. But the instant I saw his expression, every doubt vanished. His gaze held me captive, warm and adoring, like I was his everything, like the sun that lights up his world.

“Breathtaking,” he whispered, taking my hand and pressing a soft kiss on it. And just like that, all my insecurities melted away.

After some time shopping, we grabbed a meal at a cozy restaurant. Abhi then headed to the office while I returned home, feeling drained. A warm bubble bath sounded like pure bliss.

But before I could even turn on the tap, my phone rang. Assuming it was Abhi, I rushed across the bed, nearly tripping in my haste.

“Yes?” I answered, breathless.
