Wei Ying smiled as his husband's figure disappear behind the meeting room door..... He didn't leave, though. Instead, he approached the reception, asking for permission to wait in the lounge. With Yiyi, he settled down comfortably, the weight of the day feeling a little lighter now.
Borrowing some rough sheets, Wei Ying began to engage Yiyi in making paper toys. He had always been firm in his belief that children should be encouraged to develop their minds through hands-on activities rather than being pacified with mobile devices or gadgets. In these early years, Wei Ying wanted Yiyi to cultivate critical thinking and observation skills, laying the foundation for a sharp and inquisitive mind.
As they folded and shaped the paper, the lounge started to take on a life of its own. Some of the office staff couldn't help but steal glances at Wei Ying, their eyes lingering on him—a top-notch handsome alpha who seemed to effortlessly draw attention wherever he went. The gentleman aura from a dominant alpha was everyone's dream. There were many who envied Lan Zhan not just beautiful of his skills but because of his alpha too. The way they saw Wei Ying treated Lan Zhan, how the alpha followed his omega's lead, took care of their son which was a belief to be only Omega's duty...they envied Lan Zhan a lot.
But there was something that shocked them more. It was very common that Lan Zhan, as omega was marked by his alpha. Lan Zhan was marked so he was always had Wei Ying's territorial pheromones on him. So no one, be it alpha or omega could go near Lan Zhan with ulterior motive. And if they did, Wei Ying would be alerted. And if any day Lan Zhan cheated his alpha, then because of the bond mark, he would die very painfully. Ironically omega's didn't have the right either break the mark bond or mark their alpha, so alpha were free from all restrictions and even if they cheated, it was again the omega who would feel the pain. Alpha's had so high carnal desire, so it was hard to control but in society they didn't bother to control, rather theyjust choose to exploit any omega to satisfy them.
Amidst these chaos there still some alpha left who were good but it was hard to find one. It was truly an omega's destiny. So when for the first time an omega tried to approach Wei Ying the realization came to all that not only Lan Zhan but Wei Ying was marked too. The alpha had accepted his omega's completely authority over him and that was the time many cooed, but many eyes turned green. They left more humiliated when they didn't get any response from Wei Ying, how could an alpha had so much control on his carnal desires.........but who explained them the alpha had all desires, he was high but all his desires darted for one person.....his love, his omega......Lan Zhan.
Just like now, Wei Ying noticed the attention but remained focused on his son, gently guiding him through each fold. Eventually, he leaned down, directing Yiyi's attention to the people around them. "Look around, Yiyi," he encouraged softly. Yiyi's curious eyes followed, taking in the busy office, where everyone was engaged in their work, their movements purposeful and absorbed. Wei Ying asked Yiyi to named the stuffs he was pointing and the little bean, sitting on his dada's lap started to recall what was called what.
"This?"......Wei Ying asked pointing a chair........"ch....ar"...........Yiyi said cutely and Wei Ying booped his nose making the boy giggle.....and "this"......Wei Ying asked pointing to himself......"dada"....saying so the boy clung to Wei Ying's chest still giggling. Wei Ying softly patted his head...... relieved that his son was not sad. He was just 3 years, in this tender age, Wei Ying didn't want his son to bear any stress or trauma....he wished nothing but good omen for his child.
