"Right," started one of the media team, "That's been posted to social media. It's been thoroughly safeguarded, and the fans are taking really well to your signing Charli."
She smiled a little, as she moved to begin to pack all her things back into her bag.
It would be lying if she said she wasn't relieved to finally leave. They had to run through everything, and as the seconds ticked by, she grew more and more uncomfortable under the watchful eyes of so many people.
She moved from signing the contract, to taking a picture with her shirt, alongside having to pose for their social media. It all seemed slightly fake for her. After all, she had signed with the intentions of simply playing football.
Though she knew she would have to grow accustomed to it, no matter how awkward it truly felt. It was growing to be part and parcel of the game.
Since the Lionesses win in 2022, she had watched her small game she had once held close to her heart explode amongst the nation. People she had once known turn their noses up to girls playing football soon became a part of it once the nation had finally lifted the trophy. She would love to say she adored the growth, especially now as a player who had recently signed for a trailblazing team in that aspect, but a small part of her missed when it was still underground.
None the less, she knew she couldn't escape the media side of anything in this life anymore, simply embracing the time she had which didn't involved it.
When the chance arose to finally take her to the changing rooms though, she almost jumped, jogging from behind the table to follow Emma once more. She was willing the tour to be over only mere hours ago, and yet here she found herself practically jumping for it to continue, praising everything that training was about to begin.
She had never needed a football at her feet as desperately as she did now.
Saying her goodbyes to those in the media room, which purely consisted of a half hearted wave, both herself and Emma made the short walk over to the changing rooms, only a mere few metres from where they once were. No conversation was kept for the stroll though, something she once more, found herself praising everything for, itching to get going.
Emma almost immediately pointed her in the direction of one of the few empty lockers. It was surrounded by others which were full to the brim with stuff. Essentials, she could spot, like sprays and boots, but also others with stickers and posters plastered across them.
It was similar to the rest of the training grounds. Full of life, and Arsenal.
"Right, I was reminded multiple times before your arrival Charli to pass this over to you. Our team specifically designed it for your arrival." The staff member smiled, passing over a few pieces of laminated paper.
Internally, she begun screaming. She wasn't ready for more forms, or anything that would get her to sit back time for another extended period of time. She was raring to go, to take some shots.
