A/N*** - I apologize for the months hiatus, mental health has taken a toll on me but I'm doing significantly better. I'll do my best to make you all happy.

.

Your phone beeps and you're quick to see it's a message from William, it read, "Let me know if I should change anything but how does heading to (Nearby fancy restaurant 🤭) at 5:30PM sound? I want to treat you tonight <3" That last bit makes you audibly laugh slightly at his silly and flirtatious behavior that you have really grown to love. Although, you think you love practically every part of that man and he makes you feel so giddy.

Thankfully text allows you to hide your overbearing emotions and you respond with a little, "Yeah, that sounds good! Is it possible I head home from work a little early to get changed? Is Henry okay with this?" Afterwards you start walking a bit more of your way to work before halting again when you get an answer. Let's hope you don't get kidnapped with all this standing around in public... (Bad ending 😱)

"Mhm, sounds alright. I don't really care about what Henry has to say, just do what you need to. Need me to pick you up?" William typed back and his dismissal of Henry does make you roll your eyes slightly but in a joking manner. You do sometimes feel bad for Henry on how little William seems to value his input but hopefully, Henry doesn't really mind that much. Right? You're not too sure anymore. Henry kind of feels like the emotionally available dad that you think is looking out for you? Maybe you're overthinking things.

"You don't need to but if you want, sure :) Seems fun!" You hastily reply with a small laugh as you check the time to make sure you shouldn't be hurrying up. Thankfully you still have some time to make it to work.

That cherished beep sounds again, "Good <3 Talk to you later, then" William's message read and you can't help but reply with a little "<3" in return, you put your phone away.

Your mood was very enlightened and you start your walk to work once again with a smile of pride. Growing up, you did have your sister try to set you up on dates but that was when your sexuality was under wraps. So you never went. Maybe your refusal should have told her a few things. Nevertheless, you had your first official date and you couldn't hardly wait. You're fully aware that William seems to move very fast romantically but you don't mind really, although his touchy behavior is something else... Not that you don't like it but you're not used to how much attention William gives you, he makes you feel tingly all over.

The sight of the diner comes into view and you smile to yourself, a feeling of satisfaction running through your veins like a jolt of adrenaline. You take a deep breath before walking to the door and giving it a firm push, met with that familiar pizza smell. The constant cooking of pizza left a permanent yet comforting scent of pizza, although, you don't think you could eat a lot of pizza because of it. It kind of ruined pizza for you, the cheesy goodness still looks so gooey and yummy but the minute it's in your mouth? It's not as good as a 12 year old version of you would have said it was.

You typically pack a couple of snacks for lunch but today you didn't for obvious reasons. You're rather surprised the door is unlocked today but don't question it all too much as you walk your way to the other side of the building. A small glance at the stage sends shiver through you at the sight of the big yellow bunny towering over you. You weren't usually scared of him but after that incident, you've been a little nervous. You know he's not going to just walk off the stage and get you, that's absurd. And yet you're still scared. You really shouldn't be.

What happened was a small accident that you mostly blocked out, your memory is vague on what happened. All you remember is Spring Bonnie, blood, and William. It's weird, you recall remembering it very clearly for a while and now it's all so fuzzy. William did talk to you about it at some point and you're grateful for him but you just wished your mind would let you remember it clearly. You're tired of the occasional pity looks from your coworkers, everyone probably knows more about what happened then you do. And that's scary. You resent being such a pity case to everyone, the idea that possibly the people in your life are only here because they feel bad. It's like your own brain doesn't want you to relive those moments anymore...
