He said with a sad look in his eyes, Kaeya was sad for diluc
He knew of diluc's destructive tendencies and he knew that diluc only wants to protect his son

Kaeya: "that boy has been searching for his family from the moment you left him in the adventures guild, he's been asking everyone for any kind of sign that he wasn't abandoned because of his flaws, so if you won't tell him then I will"
Diluc looked at Kaeya with suprise on his face
Diluc looked at the ground
Diluc: "I know..... I miss him so fu#king much that it hurts, but what if something happens when he's with me. I have many enemies that would be happy to hurt me emotionally and I can't lose him. At least like this he's safe"
Kaeya: "okay, I'll give you time to think about it"
