Meeting Parents and Awkward Questions

*About 4 months later*

Marks POV:

We just landed in Y/H/T and I'm getting really nervous. Her parents are picking us up at the airport. Once the plane has taxied to the gate and is stopped we get out of our seats and grab our carry ons. We then get off the plane and go through security and grab our luggage. We're staying for about a week so we only needed one big suitcase between us and our carry ons. Once we grab our bags we head outside the airport. After a minute of looking Y/N finally spots her parents and we go over to them.
I take a deep breath and see Sean do the same. Once we get over to them Y/N gives them both a hug then introduces us.
"Mom, dad this is Sean." She says introducing Sean to them. He shakes their hands.
"And this is Mark." She says and I shake their hands.
We put our luggage in the trunk then I open the door for Y/N and Sean and I get in the backseat. Once we're all buckled Y/M/N starts driving to their house. Once we get there we get out and I open the door for Y/N then shut it. We then grab our bags and head inside and Y/N shuts and locks the door behind her. We put our bags down then sit on the couch.
"Would anybody like a drink?" Y/D/N dad asks.
"Yes please I'll take a vodka and coke dad." Y/N says.
"I'll have a beer please." Sean says.
"I'll have a coke please." I say.
He goes and gets the drinks then comes back.
"So what was it that you needed to tell us?" Y/M/N says.
"Well mom, dad. Mark, Sean and I are dating." She says. There's silence for several moments and my heart pounds out of my chest. It has to be the longest and most uncomfortable silence in my whole life.
"You mean you-at the same time?!" Y/D/N squeaks out.
"Y/D/N!" Y/M/N scolds slapping his arm.
"Sorry, sorry it just slipped out." Y/D/N says with his hands up in surrender.
Sean, Y/N, and I just start cracking up laughing. We can't help it. Eventually Y/N's mom and dad start laughing too.
"Well sweetheart as unconventional as it is as long as you're happy we're happy." Y/M/N says.
"Yes as long as they're treating you right and you're happy I'm ok with it." Y/D/N says.
"Thank you I really appreciate that." Y/N says.
"Of course sweetheart so how long are you staying for again?" Y/M/N asks.
"About a week." Sean answers.
Y/M/N nods.
"That's great I'd love to get to know you both better and it'll be so nice to see Y/N. I've missed her so much. " Y/M/N says.
"Yeah I want to get to know you both too. Also, I missed my little girl to death." Y/D/N says chuckling.
We all talk for a while longer before we decide we're hungry. Y/M/N cooks some food while we all talk to Y/D/N. Once the food is done we go into the living room. Sean pulls Y/N's chair out for her then pushes it in when she sits down then we sit down. Dinner is delicious and we all get along really well and the conversation flowed smoothly. Once we're all done eating Sean and I offer to do the dishes to give Y/N and her parents some time alone. While we do the dishes Y/N stays back and talks to her parents. Once the dishes are done we chat with her parents for a couple more hours and get to know them then decide to call it a night. We get ready for bed then Y/N gives us a kiss and we snuggle up in bed.
"Goodnight guys I love you." Y/N says.
"Goodnight baby I love you too." I say.
"Goodnight darling I love you too." Sean says.
We all then soon fall asleep in each others arms.

*6 days later*

Marks POV:

It's the day that we're leaving and Sean and I have gotten along with Y/N's parents really well. Y/N is taking a shower so we figure this is the best opportunity to ask for their blessing without her overhearing.
We're sitting on the couch with them and I clear my throat then take a deep breath to settle my nerves.
"So we have something we want to ask you." I say.
"Ok what's that?" Y/N's mom says.
"Go on." Y/N's dad says.
"We love your daughter more than anything in the world and we want nothing more than to love and cherish her for the rest of our lives. We want to marry her and we were wondering if we could get your blessing to ask for her hand in marriage." I say.
"Wow um this is a shock how long did you say you have been dating?" Y/D/N asks.
"About a year sir." Sean says.
They nod.
"Well I can see that you both truly love our daughter and you seem like amazing guys and you treat her well so I would be happy to give you my blessing." Y/M/N says.
"Me too." Y/D/N says.
We sigh in relief and they surprise us by hugging us.
"Welcome to the family." Y/M/N says.
Now that we have their blessings we can finally propose to our girl since we have already planned the perfect proposal with help from B/F/N. We also had her help to design Y/N's dream ring. It should be done in the next month. I only hope she says yes since this situation is anything but typical.
