After driving what feels like forever down the road, we made it to Kiesys' wall. It stood high and had many scars and dents in the wall from its countless defenses it took on. It had 2 towers and the gate leading into the city was made of steel with what looked like some type of engraving on the steel bars. My mom begins to talk to the guards in a control room next to the gate to let us in and explain what had happened in the nearby forest, and to Zestrika.

"Please sir, just listen. We need to see the king and-" my mom is cut off

"Look, ma'am." One of the officers on post begins to say, "I know you were just attacked, but we can't just let any person in just from a monster attack, especially to see the king. We must follow proper procedures for things like this. I'm sorry."

"But you don't understand. That thing-"

"Look, towards the forest!" Cynth says as he's pointing towards the forest. I looked back and so did the others after hearing Cynth to see what he saw. There was a darkness lurking above the forest like a blanket with black smoke bellowing from the tree line, possibly from the fires from the battle and escape. I tried to see if I could see any more of the battle between my dad and the amalgamation, but the same thunderous roar is heard once again, and I froze in fear, tearing up at the fearful thought that my dad lost the battle. We saw the black smoke bellowing out form a black cloud and a figure like a deformed black phoenix within the smoke cloud flying inside towards the Gaolyn territory. After a few seconds, the forest clears up and no darkness is left looming over the trees, just smoke from the flames fading out from the battle. My mom's eyes start to widen, and I notice and realize why. She quickly turns towards the group of officers to explain.

"Look. I am Lilia Zestra, a commander for the militia group in Zestrika." The guard looks back down towards my mom as she speaks, dumfounded at the sight of the creature we all saw. "We were attacked in Zestrika by that thing that just flew away. It was monstrous and extremely powerful that the town is now in rubble minutes after its initial attack. My husband stood back to fight it so we can escape here and he succeeded in fending it off. I have to warn the king and inform him about that... thing that attacked before any more cities and villages are destroyed."

The guard freezes for a second but regains composure and yells to the inner control room officers.

"OPEN THE GATES! ENVOYS OF ZESTRIKA ARE HERE!"

The other guards hear his shouts and begin to scramble into place to open the gates. The guard then starts to go back into the control room and begins calling someone with the other guard going as well. As they do, I hear old chains begin to creak and groan as the large steel gate begins to rise, and I look over to the gate. Getting a closer look at its steel bars creaking and groaning, each bar has many scars and chips, and I notice engravings on the bars, but I couldn't make out what they say or what they are for. As the gates open, one of the guards comes back to the wagon side and begins to speak to my mom again.

"Once the gates are open, you'll follow a silver-plated wagon. It'll escort you directly to the castle." He says as he is pointing towards the silver wagon we will follow. It shines in the sunlight from the plating with blackened steel outlining the frame to give it more protection. My mom bows her head and being to speak.

"Thank you, officers, but there's one more matter that worries me. My husband." Her head falls down a little, and her face looks pale and void of color, before she looks up again. "He's still in that forest. I don't know if he survived, but I need you to send a search team for him, please." I can tell my mom is about to cry, pleading for them to try to find dad.

"Okay, ma'am. We will go personally. You get to the king and inform him." He turns towards the other guard in the office and starts walking. "Bayle let's go. Call in reinforcements and replacements for the booth for a while. We're going on a rescue hunt."
