The Beginning

In the humid, languid heat of Iuka, Mississippi, beneath the shroud of ancient oaks, a ten-year-old boy named Jon Price roamed the cracked pavement of a playground that always echoed with laughter-except on that fateful day. With dirty blonde hair tousled and bright blue eyes that sparkled with innocence, Jon was a boy like any other, unaware of the darkness that lurked just beyond the veil of his childhood.
