I have a girlfriend

Max came out of the conference room smiling and shaking hands with the Suarez representative. He was happy he got deal with them. He could rest his tired butts now. And he could visit his mother. He smiled as he thought of his mother. She would be happy to know they got the deal. He called his personal assistant and directed him to get flowers and a box of cupcakes for his mother. As he was about to leave, Ray entered into his office. He looked at Ray's face and saw a smile.

"Mom is here" Ray said

"Why did she have to?" he said frowned.

"She wanted to be here to congratulate you herself"

"Even at that...." he sighed. They left the office together, heading for the elevator.

"Don't make a drama over it. What's wrong in congratulating her only son on his huge success?. Bro do not be an ass and go welcome her. She has been here for close to six hours now" he said as they entered the elevator and he tapped the button for the ground floor.

"What!, six hours!" he asked surprised and angry.

"Yeah, she was here before the meeting"

"She must be exhausted from waiting. Where is she right now?"

"At the lobby" The elevator had stopped and they walked out.

"Alright get the car. We're going to the mall together" he said walking towards the lobby.

"Okay. On it" Ray walked out, heading for the parking lot.

Max walked into the lobby and spotted his mother, sitting regal like. He smiled. She had always been like this. You could tell she had class, just by the way she carried herself. No wonder his father treasured her. She was every man's dream. Including his, as a mother of course. He laughed at himself.

"Mom" he called out to her as he approached her sitting area.

She turned her head to see her son, then she smiled looking glorious as her chestnut hair graced her heart shaped beautiful face "Son, congratulations" she stood up, opened her arms and he walked over to her and hugged her smiling. "I am happy you got it"

"That is because you're a great mom" he praised.

"And I am lucky to have this great son" he held her cheeks in his hand.

" Mom let's go eat. Then we would go shopping" He held her hand to lead her outside.

"No. We would not. You are extremely tired after the deal. So we would go home together and I will prepare you a nice dish" He said as they went out.

'No mom, it's my treat"

"And I said no. You can treat me some other time. Today I am cooking you a meal. Homemade"

"Alright mom. You win" he said resignedly.Ray stopped the car in front of them "Mom insists on cooking, so we are going home"

"Ray dear how have you been?" Tonia said when she and Max had finally settled in the car.

"I have been great Mom, I hope you have been eating well, we cannot afford for you to lose your beautiful looks" Ray complimented her halfway.

"Yeah, of course. I would not dream of losing it. If I do, how then will you compliment me?" she said laughing.

He laughed "You look beautiful anyways"

"Please could you help me persuade Max to find a girl? I mean I want to see my grand kids before I move on to the world beyond"

"Mom!!!!" Both Ray and Max shouted in horror "Why would you say a thing like that?" Max continued.

"Yeah mom you are still as young as ever"

"I know. But my point is I want you to bring a girl home Max. And you too Ray. You both should be serious and settle down at this point of your life"

"Mom count me out" Ray quickly said.

Tonia smiled" I would be the happiest to see you married Ray"

"If it makes our queen happy then I will think of it"

"And Max?" She whipped her hair to the side to see Max.

"Mom I have a girlfriend"

Both his mother and Ray turned to look at him "Really?!!!" they both chorused.

Max gave Ray a look that said 'Be quiet about it' "Yes mom. I will introduce her to you soon"

"That's great news" His mother said clapping her hands smiling happily. "Please do introduce her to me soon enough"

"I will" Max said, a dark expression on his face.

Ray look at him from the rearview mirror and cursed internally. He knew Max was thinking of introducing Cindy to his mother. He hoped Max was doing the right thing. He just hoped so.

They got to the Anderson's Estate in an hour time as it was in the outskirt of the city. The Anderson's Estate was one of it's kind, boasting Hectares of land. It was the late Mr Anderson who built it as he loved the space and also loved the peace it brought him. Peter Anderson was a man who was brought up in wealth. But then it was not so for his wife, Tonia Anderson. So part of the reasons he built the Anderson Estate was for his wife to have the kind of home her parents could not provide her.

Ray finally put the car to a stop at the entrance to the Anderson mansion. It was an enormous building, which you could call beautiful. Its architectural quality was top notch and it was wonderfully created.

They all went in through the wide Mahogany door which the butler held out for them. The chief maid servant of the mansion was summoned immediately by Tonia while the trio sat on the couch in the finely decorated living room. The chief maid servant was there within second answering to her madam.

"Amelia please prepare the kitchen, I need to prepare something delicious for my sons" she instructed.

"Alright ma'am" Amelia moved to prepare the kitchen for the madam of the house to prepare her meal.

"You know Max, I get tired and bored living in this mansion all by myself. I assure you, when you get married, my daughter inlaw is going to be spending more time with me than you. I would care more for her than you would"

"Really mom?" he said raising his brows.

"Yes of course. I know I would love her"

Amelia was back after few minutes "Madam the kitchen is ready" she said her head bowed.

"Alright gentlemen. You would please excuse me. I will be back soon"

"Take your time mom" Ray said as she left to the kitchen.

When it was clear she would not be able to hear their conversation anymore Ray looked at Max and said " Do not tell me you are thinking of introducing Cindy Bailey to mom"

"And if I am?"

"Have you gone bananas? why would you even think of such a thing?" Ray said angrily.

Max face was straight with no emotions when he said "I am not thinking of. I will be Introducing Cindy to her"

"And are you going to tell her why you are getting married to Cindy? are you going to tell her it is not because you love Cindy to the end of the moon but because you want to get revenge?"

"She does not have to know"

"Oh yes! she does. If you are going to be giving her a daughter inlaw then I think she should know why she has Cindy as her daughterinlaw"

"Like I said she does not have to know. She should treat her like her daughter inlaw. After all she will be my wife. And do not mention a word of this to her" Max said sternly.

Ray raked his hand through his hair frustratingly "I will not. But the decision you have made, it is not the best decision to take."

"Thanks"

At that point Tonia just came out of the kitchen "Come over boys" she called from the dinning room. They both stood up and went to the dining room.
