Introduction

In this dystopian society, reaching adulthood is a pivotal moment. At 18, individuals are forcibly assigned partners and placed in a competitive hierarchy. The ultimate goal is to achieve the Diamond position, which grants absolute control over the population.

The Diamond is followed by Golds, Silvers, and Platinums, each with diminishing power and influence. This system creates a constant struggle for dominance and survival.

Below these tiers are the Commoners, the majority of the population who have limited rights and privileges.

CHARACTERS:

Rina Shah: A naive and idealistic young woman. She's eager to please and is always looking for approval.
