When the two socially inept men made it to Shota's Apartment it was dark and messy. A few plates in the sink, a couple blankets scattered across the house, a bright sleeping bag or two draped across the warm grey couch in the living room that could be seen from the entryway. If Scaramouche had to describe the pro heroes home one word that he would use despite his best judgement would be.
Cozy.
He wasn't sure how he felt about that.
As Scaramouche eyes wandered around the large apartment Shota was staring him down with tired eyes. The man was tired and contemplating what to do with the new addition to his home. A soft meow broke the tense silence.
The immortals violet eyes snapped to the sensation against his leg.
"Meow?"
"...."
"That's Belle...my cat."
Wanderer didn't dean that with a response. Instead blinked at the cat now staring up at him with big green eyes. Suddenly the shorter male was reminded of the bright green sparkling eyes of the wise goddess of his past.
It looks like her...
After staring for a bit too long he realized although the fluff ball's snow white fur made her look tiny she was actually a massive fat cat who probably just wanted food. Belle was in fact not Buer, but just a obese cat who was probably wondering if she was going to be fed soon.
"So... Since this was last minute I haven't set up a room for you but I have an air mattress you can sleep on in your new room. It's empty so feel free to do what you want with it." Shota's gruff voice broke the silence.
He only received a short nod from the teenager dupe. Awkward silence once again fell between the two.
"What's an..air mattress."
"A mattress filled with air. Unless you want a futon that'll work too honestly but until I order your actual mattress you're stuck with that for now."
Despite the unbothered appearance of Shota and the monotony of his words he was in fact very nervous. Sure he was a highschool teacher and an underground hero to boot but this may be above his head. He couldn't take care of himself sometimes now adding a moody troubled teen into the mix was a bit overwhelming. He considered calling Hizashi but quickly threw that plan away—Afraid he would scare or overwhelm the boy. He corrected himself a moment later and resorted to calling the boy by his name. Scaramouche. No last name. No birthday. A ghost, truly, just like many street kids he's come across during his hero work.
"Ah.. a futon would be fine honestly I don't trust that..air mattress. It sounds repulsive quite frankly I wouldn't touch something so unreliable with a ten foot pole. I wouldn't waste my mora on something so heinous sounding."
Scara was met with a confused snort and watched as the taller man began waddling up a flight of grey stairs in his black hobo suit. A minute later they were standing in a small light grey room. Completely empty and bland but if he was being honest the wind bearer wasn't that disappointed. He still enjoyed simple things from his time living in the real world and quite liked the simplicity of the modern little room that was now his.
" Thank you, Eraser."
He felt genuine gratitude deep inside himself. Although he refused to say it out loud he was becoming lonely and rather hopeless in this new land. He missed the traveler, and Nahida, even the little loud mouth fairy who was the travelers companion. Cyno was beginning to grow on him as well with his pathetic jokes. Maybe staying here really won't be the end of his very long life.
"Call me Shota."
