Chapter 9 - Muse

Diana massages her temple. She's lying on her bed still not over the 'humiliation' she felt two days ago.

Ever since she left the studio, she never felt fine. There's always this unexplainable pinch on her stomach that keeps her irritable.

After the shoot, Kourt invites her for a dinner that she politely declined. Then she cancelled all her schedule yesterday to give herself a good rest. All because she thinks that she failed to impress Avery.

Weird, but valid reason.

"Diana, baby." She heard her mother call. Her door opened and her mother spoke again raising an envelope. "It's a mail for you."

"Just leave it there." She said. Pointing at the table using her lips.

Honestly, she doesn't have the energy to stand up and check whatever is in that mail. The encounter with Avery seems to suck out all of her energy.

"Who sends mail nowadays anyway." She whispered to herself.

Her mom heard that so she flipped the white envelope to read the note saying, "To Oddatelier's muse."

Diana's head quickly turns to the side where her mother was.

"What did it say?"

"I don't get it but it says 'To Oddatelier's muse'".

That was enough to make Diana rush towards her mother. She grabbed the envelope to read it herself.

Indeed.

It was written.

"To Oddatelier's muse."

"Shit."

A sudden burst of energy possessed her body.

She went to her desk, looked for anything sharp to help open it carefully. Like it was a gift, she slowly tears the huge envelope, revealing photos inside.

There she saw, well printed pictures of her shoot yesterday.

Also, a mini envelope was there which gathered her attention the most. Heart pounding while she opens-

To Oddatelier's Muse,

Please consider this as my letter of gratitude for various reasons. First, for exerting an effort to make a schedule with us despite the short notice. Second, is for blessing our eyes with your grace and beauty. No one touched our souls the way you did, you're exceptional.

The whole team agrees that you made the search over. Our effort in making the upcoming release of this brand will only be successful if you will accept our offer to be the face of Oddatelier.

If you will say yes, that's my last and the best reason for being grateful. I'll wait to hear from you.

The letter came from Avery!

She even signed at the bottom of the paper.

It's from her.

"Oh my God." Diana said, can't believe what she red. "Is this serious."

Her hands trembled, she goes back to read the message one more time, or twice, or maybe more times. Many more times up to the point that she was too occupied to notice her mother leaving her room.
