Hearing.

Authors note:
The first chapter is pretty bland and boring but bear with me. The good and interesting parts of this fic starts near the end of chapter 2 where Bakugo meets Kirishima. Please stay tooned xx🧡❤️

Bakugos POV:

I haven't been able to sleep for hours. The light from the moon treads softly over my bedroom walls, the light reflecting off my posters from the outside window. It's pitch dark in my room, my hearing being the most sensitive sense.
The sound of my clock ticks quietly as I lay on my sleepless bed, on my back, watching headlights from cars dance on my ceiling when they drive by my empty house.

"Mrrreow"

There's suddenly a light weight on my bed. The sound of purring takes my attention away from the clock on my wall.

"Shhh, quiet Penny" I whisper in the dark. My gaze never leaving the ceiling as Penny finds herself comfortable on my chest....Lucky ass cat, getting sleep so easily. I move my hand, finding her fur comes easy, running my fingers through it as she purrs in her slumber.

Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

The sound of the clock comes back to me, causing a soft sigh to leave my lips....I never got sleep that night, not one wink....The sounds keep me up at midnight, past dawn. The lights of the moon reflect and bounce off my walls through the window, headlights of cars chasing soon after.

"Bakugo?"

The sound of my mothers voice brings me back to reality. My sharp gaze flicks up to find hers.

"What's gotten into you?" She asks, sitting her knife down and onto the cutting board. She turns to look at me as I sit at the counter...Her arms cross as she raises a curious brow.

"Fuckin peachy Ma...." I respond

"Don't lie to me Katsuki....Ya got eyebags that give you away. Do you take me for some dumb brick wall?"

I sigh and run my hand through my hair, my gaze goes foggy for a bit as I look back up at her.

"My sleep schedule is just fuckin with me is all." I respond. She looks me up and down and soon...She gives me that look.

The look of Pity.
Her brows raise just a bit, almost slightly going unnoticed as she frowns, pouting even.

"Katsuki....What about the meds-"

"You don't think I've fucking tried Ma? Those shitty meds do nothing. They do nothing! How am I supposed to go to college when I can't even sleep at night!?" I yell at her, frustration sinking in as I close my mouth, looking away from her with a sigh.

"Watch the way you talk to me." She says behind gritted teeth.

"What the fuck am I supposed to do?" I ask her...My mom has never met the vulnerable side of me. I've always shoved her away and everyone else too. So when I hear the smallest gasp from her I'm not surprised.

"Get in the car.." She whispers. Her hand shooting up to her hair with a sigh.

"What....? No, fuck no."

"Katsuki get in the fucking car, I'll meet you out there in a minute or two"

"Mom....Your not taking me to the hospital! I'm fucking fine!"

"Get in the car!!"

She screams at me, anger and desperation in her voice as it breaks. My eyes widen just a bit as I growl under my breath. My hands stuffing themselves in my sweatpants as I turn around.
