Danish felt his heart beating fast. He knew there was more to Babar’s disappearance. His thoughts kept going back to the meeting he had with Meer Hadi. He hadn’t told his brothers about that yet. He hoped it wasn’t important, but now, he was afraid it might be connected to Babar going missing.
“We should call Zain,” Haider said, picking up his phone. “Maybe he knows something.”
As Haider dialed Zain’s number, Danish stood up, feeling guilty. He couldn’t hide this secret anymore.
“Haider… I need to tell you something,” Danish said, his voice shaking.
Haider looked at him with a frown. “What is it, Bhai? Do you know something?”
Danish swallowed hard, his hands trembling. “I met with someone… a few days ago. His name is Meer Hadi.”
Haider’s eyes widened in surprise. “Who’s Meer Hadi? And why didn’t you tell us?”
“He sent me an email,” Danish explained, his voice shaky. “At first, I didn’t think it was important. But then he asked to meet with me, and I didn’t want to worry you guys.”
Qasim sat up straight, looking scared. “Meer Hadi? What does he want with you?”
The Danish hesitated, then took a deep breath. “He has some problems with me. Once i made him arrested because he used to do illegal works. But he said he would take revenge.”
Haider’s face grew tense with anger. “Revenge? Bhai, why didn’t you tell us earlier? Do you think he’s the one who took Babar?”
The Danish looked down, guilt washing over him. “I don’t know, Haider. What if it’s because of me?”
Before Haider could respond, Zain answered the call.
“Zain, it’s Haider,” he said quickly. “Babar’s missing. He went to a party and hasn’t come home. We think someone took him.”
Zain paused for a moment, then replied in a serious tone. “I’ll start looking right away. Give me all the details.”
Haider told Zain everything. After the call ended, Haider turned back to Danish, his expression full of worry. “We’ll try to contact this Meer Hadi. If he’s behind this, we’ll make him tell us.”
Danish nodded, his guilt growing. “I should’ve told you earlier. I’m sorry…”
Haider’s face softened a little. “We’ll deal with this together. Let’s hope Zain finds something soon.”
Somewhere in a Dark Room
Babar slowly woke up, his head aching. His hands were tied behind his back, and the ropes were tight around his wrists. The room was dim, and his vision was blurry. As his eyes adjusted to the light, he saw a man standing nearby.
The man stepped closer, and Babar recognized him. It was Akeel, a businessman with a shady reputation. Babar had dealt with Akeel before, and he knew this man was dangerous.
“Akeel…” Babar muttered weakly. “What do you want?”
Akeel smiled coldly and leaned down so their faces were close. “It’s simple, Babar. I want you to sign some papers. There’s a project I’m working on, and I need your signature.”
