"I was finally free and could fly. And if someone had asked me at that moment, I would have said yes. Because everything that had happened had brought me to this point and I had no regrets. Because I could finally stretch my wings and flutter out into freedom."

Yeosang closed the book with a smile. He would never have thought that a story about a bird could move him so much. Perhaps because everything the bird had experienced in the book reflected his life.

"Is everything fine?" a voice echoed next to Yeosang and a small cup was pushed towards him. Yeosang looked up from the book then smiled at Jay, who sat down next to him again.
"Just finished the book and it was a really moving story," he mumbled, then took a sip of the coffee. Jay nodded and reached for the book. "If I ever have time, I'll read it," he said.

"How's your girlfriend?" Yeosang asked with interest, as Jay hadn't told him anything new since last week. "Pretty good, but she's busy with university and stuff. I don't want to distract her too." Yeosang laughed. "But you're okay with distracting me from work?" Yeosang asked, pointing to the apron around his body. Jay just shrugged his shoulders indifferently, then pointed to the other side of the store. "I think your boyfriend has it pretty well under control," he explained and Yeosang followed his gaze.

Then he sighed dreamily and nodded in agreement. "Yes, it looks like that," he said happily, watching Jongho talking to a girl and them both laughing.

Yeosang never thought he would get to this point, but everything was perfect. After he and Jongho had looked for a small but cozy apartment, Jongho had suggested that Yeosang could work in the bookstore as well. The owner was old anyway and needed help. They had a good chance of taking over the store completely at some point.

Nevertheless, Jongho was able to continue studying and follow his dream. Yeosang was just happy to be doing something that gave him peace and happiness. In addition to what seemed like a dream already, he had become really good friends with Jay and now they met several times a week. Yeosang had never thought he would ever find such a good friend. Maybe life would finally give him the happiness he hadn't had all these years.

Jay rolled his eyes. "How can you be so in love?" he grinned as he watched Yeosang stare after Jongho. "You don't need to complain when you're even worse yourself," Yeosang complained and turned his gaze away from Jongho. Jay stuck his tongue out at him. Yeosang leaned over and pinched his arm, causing Jay to flinch. "Heyy." he called out indignantly and Yeosang started to laugh.

"What are you guys doing?" Jongho asked, who had now appeared in front of them. Yeosang made a pouty face. "Jay is bullying me. Throw him out, please." Jay looked at Yeosang offended. Jongho laughed and grabbed Yeosang's hand, who immediately let it happen. "I'm sure you've annoyed him at least as much."

Jay nodded in agreement and crossed his arms. Yeosang let go of Jongho's hand. "Yah which side are you on?" Jongho immediately started giggling and walked around the table. Then he hugged Yeosang from behind. "Always on yours you little baby."

Yeosang wanted to retort that he hated it when Jongho called him that, but he just enjoyed the hug and smiled contentedly. How he loved this feeling and Jongho.

.....

"Are you all right?" Jongho asked tenderly and gave Yeosang a kiss on the forehead while Yeosang cuddled up in his arms. "I had the feeling you were very moody today," Jongho said with a smile and hugged Yeosang tightly. "I wasn't, I just wanted attention," he admitted and felt Jongho laugh slightly. "I thought so," he said and Yeosang lifted his head slightly.

With a quick glance, he signaled what he wanted and Jongho leaned towards him with a smile until their lips met and melted together. Yeosang found support in Jongho's neck and it didn't take him a second to break away from Jongho's embrace and roll over him without releasing the kiss.
