Over And Over

It had been a few days since the incident and since then, everyone had calmed down about the whole 'not trusting Ae-Cha' issue. A few people, including Hye-In had taken turns to visit her and apologise. It took many tries, but eventually, Ae-Cha believed them and ended up forgiving them. From then, she resumed her duties with Hyun-Su and retrieved several books, batteries, clothes, anything that the others requested.

Additionally, Hyun-Su would not stop asking her what Eun-Hyuk said to make her begin to forgive everyone. As usual, she refused to say. It was something she could barely wrap her head around for herself, she knew why she forgave him. But saying it out loud would make it real.

She had feelings for Eun-Hyuk.

Since she had figured that out, she was replaying every interaction they had in her head. She tried to figure out what had led to these feelings developing, but she couldn't pinpoint a specific moment that caused it.

"Was it from the beginning?" She murmured to herself.

"Was what from the beginning?" Hyun-Su asked, interrupting her thoughts. Her head quickly snapped to look at him. "Huh? What?"

"You said 'was it from the beginning?' Was what from the beginning?" He repeated his question, only receiving a shake of Ae-Cha's head. "Nothing, it's nothing, I promise." She replied and quickly smiled to cover up the analysis going on inside her mind. Hyun-Su nodded and tried to change the subject.

"Have you seen what they've been building in the hall?" He asked. Ae-Cha quickly shook her head. "No, what is it?" She said and tried to peer out the minimal 'windows' that they had in an attempt to see down the hallway.

"A 'monster catcher'. They've built it in case anyone turns and tries to attack them, but also if a monster breaks through the barricade. I don't think they've tested it out yet though." He explained.

"I'm not sure how they'd test it, unless someone actually turns." Ae-Cha muttered before returning back to her seat, next to Hyun-Su.

"Maybe they'll just pretend." He shrugged.

The two of them sat in silence for a moment before Hyun-Su decided to tease Ae-Cha with a small theory that he had in his mind. "You know, if we really wanted to know, we could ask someone." He said and glanced at her.

"Yeah? Who?" She asked.

"Eun-Hyuk." He said and fully looked at her. Instantly, her demeanour changed, she tensed up and didn't look at Hyun-Su properly.

"Why him? We could probably just ask anyone, right?" She said, causing Hyun-Su to choke back a laugh, there was definitely something she wasn't telling him. But, with how she was acting, it wasn't anything serious. He wanted to ask but he expected the conversation to be brushed off again and for her response to include how it 'wasn't important' why she was acting the way she was. But he had to take the risk, right?

"Okay, come on, what's going on with you and him?" He asked with a smirk, fully turning his body to face her. She looked at him and noticed his body language, he knew she was keeping something secret.

"Me and him? I don't know what you're–"

"Yes you do. What aren't you telling me?" He asked, noticing how red her cheeks were getting. He decided to take another risk and say it straight up.

"Do you like him–"

"No!"

His face lit up as she tried to cut him off, he knew he was right and started laughing. "Wow, was that really all it was? You like him and now you're all nervous to talk about him?" He said, still laughing.
