" I want to be free from this world "
" What about me? "
" You no I don't care about you "
" I just want what's best for me "
" And what is that? "
" To rid you of this plane "━°⌜ 赤い糸 ⌟°━
Waking up after your encounter with the statue is like surfacing from a deep, dark pool. Your mind feels foggy, disoriented, but there's an underlying buzz of energy that wasn't there before-a remnant of whatever power the statue possessed. You sit up slowly, trying to piece together what happened. The forest around you is still, the statue looming in the center of the clearing, unchanged yet... different.
There's a weight to the air now, as if the very atmosphere is charged with anticipation. You look down at your hand, half-expecting to see some sign of the connection you felt-a burn, a mark, anything. But there's nothing. Whatever happened, it was internal, a change you can feel but not see.
Standing up, you take a deep breath, your synthetic lungs filling with the crisp air of the forest. The sensation is strange, but grounding. You need to think, to figure out what your next move is. This place, Gravity Falls, is still a mystery to you, but it's clear that it's not just any ordinary town. There's power here, the kind that could be dangerous-or useful.
You glance back at the statue, its single eye seemingly watching you, though it remains as still as ever. The connection you felt with it earlier lingers, a faint hum at the back of your mind, but it offers no answers. Whatever entity is trapped within that stone form, it's clear that it's biding its time, waiting for the right moment. And for now, it's content to remain an enigma.
"Alright, mystery man," you murmur to yourself, your voice carrying a hint of determination. "I'll play along-for now."
You start walking, moving away from the clearing and deeper into the forest. There's no clear direction, but something tells you that the answers you seek won't be found by lingering here. The trees around you are dense, their branches intertwining to create a canopy that blocks out most of the light. It's almost suffocating, but you press on, your senses on high alert for any sign of danger-or opportunity.
After what feels like hours of trekking through the forest, you finally break through the tree line and find yourself on the edge of a road. It's cracked and worn, as if it hasn't seen maintenance in years, but it's a sign of civilization nonetheless. You follow the road, your footsteps echoing in the quiet air.
As you walk, you can't shake the feeling that you're being watched. It's not the same unsettling presence you felt in the clearing, but something more... benign. Curious, perhaps. You glance over your shoulder, half-expecting to see someone-or something-following you, but the road behind you is empty.
Still, the feeling persists, and you quicken your pace, eager to find some semblance of normalcy-or whatever passes for normal in this strange place.
Eventually, the road leads you to the outskirts of a town. The buildings are old, their wooden structures weathered and worn, but there's a certain charm to the place. A sign at the edge of the town reads "Welcome to Gravity Falls," confirming what you already suspected. This is the town the statue belongs to, the place where whatever power lurks here has its roots.
