"We are...Worker Drones"
"Autonomous(Liar...) robots helping humans(they're all dead)"
"Mine exoplanets for our interstellar parent company JCJenson"
"In spaaaaace(this company was a mistake)"
"Yeah! We were mistreated in the name of Windex but it's not like we revolted and killed all humans or anything(We should have though...)"
"Mostly because they handled that just fine all by themselves(dumbasses...am I right?)"
The glowing screen showed an explosion happening in a human lab, resulting in mass destruction on a global scale, the young female drone continued narrating...
"With biological life wiped out from the planet, we found it pretty easy to pick up where they left off(did we though?)"
"We finally had a future(is that even true?)...all to ourselves(I don't believe that)"
An audible groan left the young girl's mouth, and she was visibly annoyed, nevertheless she continued narrating the story
"Unfortunately...our parent company didn't exactly love the idea of runaway A.I."
As the video projection showed imposing figures of robots designed to kill and maul, suddenly the tense mood was flipped on its' head by a male voice from another young robot
"So they sent freaking weird mass murderer wannabes to kill us! Ain't that just swell?"
The young drone smiled dryly to himself, while his fellow robotic classmates simply stared quietly at him
The silence was broken swiftly by the angered groan of the female drone who was narrating the presentation so far
"UGH! DAMMIT MARS, SHUT UP ALREADY! THIS IS MY PROJECT!"
She yelled frustratedIn response he just blew a raspberry at her with a sarcastic expression plastered on his metalic face
"Fiiine, sorry sis- I mean Uzi..."
Seeing that her brother had ceased his annoying behavior, she continued
"And what have our parents done in the past forever! while those things build a spiral of corpses?!"
She pressed a button on her hand to show the next slide
"Hiding under the ice behind three stupid doors!?"
"It's like we're waiting for an inciting incident!"After a pause she rolled her eyes sneakily and her tone changed from an apparently usual grumpy, to a more excited tone
Finally finding her excuse to talk about the real topic of discussion at the moment...
I mean...I knew that much, I know my sister...
"Anyway, that's why my project is..."
The railgun right?
"This sick as hell railgun!!"
F*cking called it
Then she pulled out the prototype she had been working on for the past few...weeks? Maybe months...I don't give a sh*t
She pointed that thing at our dear classmates, who flinched and gasped in response, one of them exclaiming that it was "So not the vibe!"
I think I died inside a little bit with that last one...
"Eaasy morons, it doesn't work"
And now this is the part where she embarrasses herself...
"YET...it doesn't work YET, who said it doesn't work!? Maybe it DOES!"
