Yeonu's POV
(Y/N's POV)

"Just take me as your date, or as a friend, or just someone who could be by your side-" says Hanjung, a hopeless romantic guy who basically swoons over every girl in the campus. He was confessing to this woman, and her name is Ningning.

Ningning said something and interrupted him, her words cut through Hanjung's voice, "I don't even know you."

When Hanjung heard her statement, he immediately froze in place, unmoving

When Hanjung heard her statement, he immediately froze in place, unmoving. The woman just stood up from her seat, displayed a frown, and left the cafeteria in a whim. Hanjung was kneeling there like a stone statue, and it is quite a bizzare scenery.

"Well that's embarrassing for him," I said as I looked back at my friends laughing at the scene. I can't really blame them, Hanjung has been confessing to girls and he never learns. But for me, I give him sympathy because I kind of understand him. If it were me, I would be kneeling too. So bad I ain't in love with someone.

Kai ironically said, "It sure is doesn't it?" He is my most trusted friend of all, and he is quite judgemental if you ask me. A few of my friends in the same table also had comments about Hanjung saying, "That guy is hopeless."

I stopped them from their judgemental batter and said, "Okay... okay... that's enough." They calmed down and continued eating their food. But I kept on giving subtle glances to Hanjung looking like a petrified human being, I just feel sorry for him.

It was a great time at school, and it isn't bad for my first day. I made a few friends and had lunch together with them in the cafeteria. My best friend is in the same class as mine, and my teachers are very engaging and entertaining too. Basically, I won the whole package.

But after school isn't after school without buying coffee from the nearest cafe. If I remembered correctly from my walk earlier on the way to the school, there's a cafe that just opened about a week ago.

"What's the name of that cafe..." I said as I dug up my memory for any hints or clue. This is quite rare because I rarely forget names, but I got it and shouted as I walked on the sidewalk, "Ah! Hot Cafe." People eyed me as I embarrassingly sprint my way out of that place.

I went to that cafe called Hot Cafe(훗우 카페), and they quite have the lucky spot. They chose a pretty good hot spot for students who like coffee and pastries, so they're fishing a lot of green papers.

Before entering the vicinity, I took my time outside of the cafe to think of what to order. To give you more information, I am a very complicated man and I have many preferences when it comes to drinks. So I just stood there outside, fidgeting with my fingers, looking down as I mumble to myself the orders I have given to previous cafes.

After a few minutes, I made up my mind and decided to order a plain caramel macchiato. Don't judge me, I am a simple guy after all, geez.

"Plain caramel macchiato," I said repeating my order so that I won't make a mistake, stutter or add more unnecessary things on my order. While repeating it to myself, I took my wallet out and took some of the money I earned from being a delivery boy.

I finally entered the cafe after taking out the money, then I approached the counter with confidence only to find out, "Can I get a plain caramel macchiato?"

"We're out, sorry, All we can serve would be smoothies and pastries," the lady behind the counter said. When I heard that they were out of coffee, my world crumbled into pieces knowing that my after school is ruined.

"O-o-okay...?" I said as a single tear falls on the left side of my cheek. The counter chuckled lightly as I make up my mind on what to order, and after a few minutes, I eventually gave up and ordered the best selling smoothie and a chiffon cake slice.

The counter took my money, I still looked lost. My heart is so distant from my coffee now, it has been months since I had coffee. 'This... my... m-my... coffee...' I thought over and over again as I sob in front of the counter.

As they processed my order, I looked around to find a seat. Usually when I do my after school rendezvous I study while eating or drinking something, which is why a table and the perfect seat is recommendable. But, it seems like there are a lot of people in here at this time of hour.

While waiting for a few minutes, the lady came back with my order and I gladly took it saying thank you. After that, I looked around once again to see if there's any free seat, and I found myself one. But there was someone sitting there, but she seems alone and it's not like she owns it though, right?

I approached this stunning woman, sitting on her seat while scrolling and tapping on her phone. The way her lips rested on the straw of her smoothie, and the way she's nibbling on it makes it look... stunning?

"Hey, I saw that you're from the same school as mine..." I just realized she is, and so I used that to get myself a free seat. Then I continued to ask,  "...can I sit here?"

The woman lifted her head up, and the straw was still on her mouth. She tried to say something but it was incomprehensible, so I gestured her to say it again and this time she took the straw off her mouth and said, "I said you can sit here."

She pats the seat next to her, but I was a bit confused asking myself, 'Is she going to scoot over to give me some space?' But it seems like she's not going to do that, so I just sat down next to her.

As I take my seat, my shoulder brushed against her's and we made eye contact. She immediately scurried away from me, distancing herself about one and a half foot away.

"I'm sorry, I was... s-so busy on my phone I forgot to give you some space," She said a bit embarrassed. I can see it on her face, her cheeks had a faint hue of red.

I shook my head in response telling her that it isn't a bother. "No worries," I said as I gesture my hand in a wave. It seems like a very friendly interaction, maybe I'm about to make a new friend. She's going onto my friend list I guess?

It was quiet between us, probably because we don't know each other and we just had a weird interaction earlier. But I tried to push myself out of my comfort zone and converse with her in a normal matter.

"So... what class are you in?" I asked a bit nervous as I sip my smoothie afterwards. I am curious about her, especially because she looks very unique.

"Is this a new way of asking me out?" She said a bit stoic and serious, which made her seem cocky for me. What does she think of me? She thinks I'm hitting on her?

"Can't I make a serious conversation like this?" I said shrugging my shoulder as I place my smoothie down the table. I waited for an answer and a few seconds later she replied with, "I'm in Class B-3, and I'm guessing you're from Class E-4?"

She was spot on with her guess, I quickly shook my head to wake myself up and immediately said to her, "T-true... with that guessing ability, you can make a good psychic." She scoffed and chuckled lightly before saying, "Yeah, only if we don't have name tags that tells our class right?" She pointed  at my name tag clipped on my uniform, which made me chuckle too.

Another silence engulf our conversation again, but this time it was heavier and louder. How ironic that silence can be loud, am I right? I guess we will sit here like this for quite a while.

But I tried my best to bring a conversation up, and it ended up with a dumb question, "So... w-what's your name?"
