The preparations for the Mumbai concert were in full swing. The stage was set, the lights were perfect, and the crowd outside was growing restless with anticipation. Y/N took a deep breath, forcing herself to focus on the tasks at hand. She had to push everything else to the back of her mind the intensity of the moment with Taehyung, the confusion that still lingered in her heart. Now wasn't the time to let her emotions get in the way. She had a job to do, and she was determined to do it well.
As she stepped back onto the stage, the rest of BTS was running through their final checks. Y/N moved with practiced ease, directing the crew, ensuring everything was in place. Her face was calm, her actions efficient, but inside, a storm was brewing. Every time she caught a glimpse of Taehyung, her heart clenched, but she forced herself to stay composed, not allowing anyone to see the turmoil she was feeling.
When the concert finally began, the energy in the arena was electric. The fans screamed and cheered as the boys took to the stage, their voices blending with the thumping beats of the music. BTS was in their element, and the performance was nothing short of spectacular. Y/N watched from the sidelines, her eyes following the choreography, making sure everything was running smoothly.
But despite the incredible atmosphere, Y/N couldn't shake the heaviness in her chest. She felt distant, as if she were watching the concert from behind a glass wall. Her usual excitement, the joy she felt from being part of something so magical, seemed muted. She tried to snap herself out of it, to enjoy the moment, but the thoughts of what had happened with Taehyung earlier that day kept creeping back in.
As the concert continued, Jin and J-Hope couldn't help but notice that something was off with Y/N. They exchanged glances, silently agreeing to check on her once they had a chance. Even on stage, where their focus was supposed to be solely on the performance, they could see the way her usual spark seemed dimmed, her energy subdued.
When the concert finally ended and the boys came off stage, sweaty and exhilarated, Y/N was there to greet them as always. She offered them smiles, but they didn't quite reach her eyes. Jin and J-Hope hung back, watching her closely, waiting for the right moment to approach.
After the usual post-concert debriefing, the group began to disperse, heading back to the hotel to unwind. Jin and J-Hope, however, lingered, catching Y/N as she was about to leave.
"Y/N," Jin called out softly, causing her to turn around. "You okay?"
Y/N paused, her heart skipping a beat. She could see the concern in their eyes, and it made her chest tighten. "I'm fine," she replied, trying to sound convincing, but the forced smile on her face gave her away.
J-Hope stepped closer, his voice gentle. "You don't look fine. Something's been bothering you all day. We can tell."
Y/N hesitated, glancing around to make sure no one else was within earshot. She didn't want to burden them with her problems, especially not when they had just come off such an incredible high from the concert. But the way they looked at her, with such genuine concern, made it impossible to brush them off.
"I..." she began, her voice faltering. "It's just... something happened earlier, and I'm trying to figure it all out."
Jin exchanged a glance with J-Hope before speaking again. "Is it about Taehyung?"
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise. "How did you...."
J-Hope chuckled softly. "We're not blind, Y/N. We've seen the way you two look at each other, how you've been acting around each other lately. It's pretty obvious something's going on."
Y/N sighed, feeling the weight of her emotions pressing down on her. "It's complicated," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't even know how to explain it."
Jin reached out, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "Take your time. We're here to listen."
Y/N took a deep breath, trying to gather her thoughts. "Taehyung and I... we've been getting closer lately. And today, during rehearsals, something happened. He... he almost kissed me."
J-Hope's eyebrows shot up in surprise, but he remained silent, letting her continue.
Y/N shook her head, still trying to make sense of it all. "But then he pulled away, and now I don't know what to think. It's like... there's this connection between us, but it's also terrifying. I don't want to ruin anything our friendship, the dynamic with the group, everything we've worked so hard for."
Jin nodded, his expression thoughtful. "It's a lot to deal with, especially when you're all in the middle of something as intense as this tour. But Y/N, it's okay to feel confused. Relationships, feelings they're never easy, especially in a situation like this."
J-Hope chimed in, his tone reassuring. "You're both under a lot of pressure, and emotions can get tangled up. But the fact that you're thinking it through, that you're not just rushing into anything that's a good thing. It means you care about what's best for both of you."
Y/N felt a small sense of relief wash over her, grateful for their understanding. "I just... I don't know what to do. I care about him, but I'm scared of what it could mean for all of us if things don't work out."
Jin squeezed her shoulder gently. "Whatever happens, we'll figure it out together. You're not alone in this, Y/N. We've got your back, no matter what."
J-Hope nodded in agreement. "And whatever you decide, make sure it's what you truly want. Don't let fear be the only thing guiding your choices."
Y/N smiled, feeling a bit of the tension in her chest ease. "Thank you," she said softly. "I really needed to hear that."
As they walked back to the hotel together, the conversation shifted to lighter topics, but the warmth of their support lingered in Y/N's heart. She still had a lot to figure out, but knowing that Jin and J-Hope were there for her made the uncertainty a little easier to bear.
And as she drifted off to sleep that night, Y/N couldn't help but wonder what the future held for her, for Taehyung, and for the journey they were all on together.
