Ch 9, S 1.

'Surrender? What new battle tactic is this?' Rimuru thought in confusion as it looked at the bowing Direwolves. What are they doing? "What are we supposed to do?" Rimuru asked another normal looking goblin with some sort of big stick who looked at Rimuru dumbfounded. "How should I know?! You're the boss, not me!"

"We surrender to you, O powerful child of Veldora. You slained my f- our leader, we do not wish to fight anymore." The Direwolf with a star on his head said.

"Oh." Rimuru muttered, looking back at the equally confused Goblins. Guess it's a good point to stop.

"Good." Rimuru said with contempt as it dropped the [Direwolf Mimic] and returned to slime form. "I guess I'll let you live, I already got your leader's skills so I have no desire to continue also. You are all free to go, just dont come back and start again."

After Rimuru spared the remaining Direwolves and allowed them to leave freely as long as they didn't attack them again, the Direwolves...didn't move.

"...Um." Rimuru commented, seeing the Direwolves still bowing. "You can go now, you know?"

"Actually..." The Direwolf with a star on his head slowly raised his head and pleaded. "We would like you to become our new leader, O powerful child of Lord Veldora."

"So...what now, Goblin chief?" Rimuru asked the Goblin with a cane as they both stood before the Goblins and Direwolves. "What is your plan now that the Direwolves are in my commands? For now I like this place so I'm gonna stay here and go along the ride."

"Well." The Goblin with a cane started, looking at his people and at his ex-invaders with a more relaxed tone despite his constant shivering. "Now that the Direwolves are under Rimuru-sama, we are free to hunt in the forest once again as well as start the reconstructions of our homes."

"Understood, then I will have the Direwolves also help you with that." Rimuru added.

"Then let's start the grand reconstruction!"

However, a new problem soon emerged.

"Are you good?" Rimuru asked the Goblin with a cane as he struggled to lift a part of the hut.

Rimuru had sent some Goblins along with the Direwolves into the forest to scavenge some food while the new leader of the Direwolves and rest of the Goblins stayed to try to reconstruct their huts, Key word try.

"*Cough* To be honest Rimuru-sama, I don't think I am. I am unfortunately not as young as I once was." He said as he leaned against the wall to catch his breath.

"Oh... That will be a problem." Rimuru said on top of the Direwolf leader. This Direwolf had surprisingly got above his fear and stayed at Rimuru's side almost all the time since they were here. He even started to call Rimuru 'Master' for some reason.

"Do not worry about me, Rimuru-sama. I will eventually succeed, just give me time." The elder Goblin said with difficulty as he tried to push onto a small pillar of wood again.

'Oh, they are really not doing good. Is there anything I can do to help, [Great Sage]?' Rimuru thought to itself as it and the Direwolf watched the struggling Goblin.

{Answer : Negatif, the User's lack of limbs renders this request impossible. However there is another way to make the Goblin stronger if the User wishes so.}
