The following week was a blur of activity as Vera and the cast dived back into filming. The set was abuzz with the usual energy, and Vera threw herself into her work, trying to keep the momentum going from the previous weekend. Halfway through their meal, Malachi leaned back in his chair, stretching slightly. As he did, his shirt rode up a bit, revealing the waistband of his boxers. Vera tried to focus on her food, but her gaze betrayed her, lingering on the sight before she quickly looked away.

Malachi caught her reaction and chuckled. "Caught you admiring my fashion sense?"

Vera blushed, laughing nervously. "Sorry! It's just... you caught me off guard."

Malachi's eyes twinkled with amusement. "Don't worry about it. I'm used to being the center of attention."

Vera rolled her eyes playfully. "I doubt that."

As they finished their meal, the conversation shifted to more personal topics. They talked about their dreams and aspirations, sharing their hopes for the future. "So, what's next for you after this movie?" Malachi asked, leaning in with genuine interest.

Malachi nodded, his expression thoughtful. "That sounds incredible. I think you'd be great at it. You have a lot of talent and a real passion for your craft."

Vera felt a surge of gratitude at his words. "Thank you, Malachi. That means a lot."

As they wrapped up lunch and stepped outside, Vera felt a sense of ease and contentment. Malachi's presence had become a source of comfort and excitement, and she was beginning to feel more confident about where their relationship might lead.

"Want to take a walk?" Malachi suggested, gesturing toward a nearby park. "It's a nice day, and we could use some fresh air."
