The Spot

Y/n's POV:

Today was the day, I was finally gonna take Jenna to my favorite spot and ask her to be my girlfriend. I've had a crush on her since middle school, when she arrived late in my math class.

I've been so nervous and I barely talked to anyone, but responded to Jenna's texts. We've been best friends for years now, she's only 2 years older than me, I'm 19 she's 21 she's always there for me when I need her most, I've gone through friendship breakups and She's the first person I call, We usually spend the day eating ice cream and watching horror movies on the couch together when it happens. I'm getting ready in my bathroom when my phone buzzes next to me. Of course it's Jenna so I look at it.

Jens<3:

Jens<3:

Hey Y/n! I'll see you soon!

Me:

Hey Jens! I'll come pick you up in 30 minutes ok?

Jens<3:

Sounds great! I'm just getting ready, Text when you're here!

Me:

Of course! See you soon!

I started to get my outfit on which was a Scream T-shirt that Jenna got me for my birthday, and Ripped jeans and my Folklore cardigan, And I wore my Converse today so I would look a little nicer. I put my phone in my purse and my chapstick and head out the door. I listened to the Reputation Album, by Taylor Swift on the way there. I pull into her driveway and I get out of the car to knock on the door. Not even a second later and she opens it.

Jenna: "Hey Y/n! Come in!"

Y/n: "I'm really excited to show you this spot."

Jenna:" I'm excited to see it! I'm just gonna get my purse and then we can go ok?"

Y/n:" Sounds great"

2 minutes later and she comes back and we head out the door. I open the passenger side for her and she gets in the car.

Jenna: "Such a GentleWomen you are!"

Y/n: "I like to try my best"

Jenna:" A+ from me!"

Y/n: "Why thank you Professor Ortega!"

She laughs a little bit and I start the car and pull out of her driveway. I start playing I love you I'm Sorry By Gracie Abrams as we drive. My arm rests on the center box, and I feel Jenna's move closer to mine. I blush a little bit. Nice going y/n I think to myself.

–10 minutes later–

As we arrive at my spot I run over before she can open the door. She gets out and I hold her hand. We walk on the trail and end up looking over the beach.

Y/n: "This is where I like to go when I need to think about stuff alone."

Jenna: "It's Beautiful y/n! The Sunset is super pretty as well."

We both sit on the cliff hanging our legs off of it. I rest my head on her shoulder she puts her arm around my back.

Y/n: "Can I confess something, Jens?"

Jenna: "Yeah Of course!"

Y/n: "But you have to promise me something ok?"

Jenna: "anything Y/n"

Y/n: "Promise Me it won't ruin our friendship?"

Jenna: "Whatever it is, Nothing could ruin us."

Y/n: "Ok here goes. I like you jenna."

Jenna:" I like you too y/n"

Y/N: "No, I like Like you Jens. I've had a crush on you since you first walked in my math class and sat next to me. I've been trying to confess for awhile now But I was terrified of messing our friendship up and you leaving me. I understand if you don't like me back but I needed to get it off my chest. It keeps me up at night sometimes knowing I haven't tried anything. So with that being said. Jenna Marie Ortega Will you be my girlfriend?"

Jenna: "Yes! I will be your girlfriend y/i/n"

Y/n: "REALLY?! You're not weirded out?"

Jenna:" why would I be weirded out?"

Y/n: "I don't know, I feel like this is a dream come true."

Y/n: "Pinch me"

She pinches my arm and I yelp quietly.

Y/n: OW! I didn't think you'd do it!'

Jenna: "You told me to!"

Y/n: So you're mine?

Jenna: "Yes Dummy, I'm yours forever and always."

Y/n: "c- can I kiss you?"

Jenna: "Yes"

I lean in and close the gap between us, we kiss for a hot second and then lay down on the concrete. It started to rain so we headed back to Jenna's House and watched the First scream movie and cuddled.

Jenna's POV:

I turned off the movie because it was getting late and I tried to move but You're on top of me so I whisper in your ear.

Jenna:" Y/n?"

You don't respond so I just carry you to my bed and we go to sleep in each other's arms.

A/N: FIRST CHAPTER! AHHHH. I KIND OF RUSHED THE ENDING BECAUSE I HAD TO GET READY FOR BED AS IT WAS MY FIRST DAY TOMORROW AND MY PARENTS KEPT BOTHERING ME TO TURN OFF MY SCREENS. I LOVE YOU ALL! GOODNIGHT
