Madison sat on the kitchen stool, leaning against the newly polished marble countertops. "Maddie, honey?" Melissa asked her daughter while skimming through the latest Garden Digest issue. "Mmrph?" She gurgled through her tomato sandwich. "What to you need from the mall? I'm dropping by after the Capezio meeting and then picking you up from Kalani's."

"Yeah, actually." Maddie said after swallowing her food. " There's this super cute pearl bracelet with a ballerina charm on it. I want one. Make that two." She said excitedly.

She had swooned over the idea of having the hundred dollar bracelet dangling from her arm all week. And she knew her best friend Kendall would like one too.

"Well then I'm off! And Kenzie, don't forget, your sister is driving you over to Jojo's after lunch!" Melissa shouted as she pushed on her Michael Kors heels.

"But mom , Jojo's place is right across the street, why does Maddie need to drive me?" Mackenzie asked questionably.

"Well Maddie's test is in a week and she needs some extra practice." Her mom answered. Maddie face palmed in the corner, totally forgetting about her test. "Is that legal?" Mackenzie shrieked, considering Maddie was only 16 and had a permit which meant an adult had to be present in the car.

The girls heard the car start, and immediately ran for their shared closet. "I'll hit the lights, you grab the makeup." Madison panted. Mackenzie ran for the makeup room while she flicked the lights to their gigantic closet.

Madison grabbed an extra small sized red velvet dress with a low cut for her sister and a blouse-style gown extra sheer. Mackenzie ran back in with two large bags of makeup and started applying some while Maddie slid on her dress. Scouting her shoe department, she finds sleek white pumps for herself and chunky red shoes for Kenz.

"Maddie hurry up, it's almost 11." Mackenzie chirped. They were sneaking off to La Miriam to meet a couple boys and hang out in their house for lunch. This was a bad idea on their part, considering they met them online very briefly.

Mackenzie finished her makeup and thrust the bag to Madison and hurried to get on her dress. Maddie rushed to apply her foundation, and powder her blush on her high apples of her cheeks. She went for a dramatic smoky eye, prone to look sleek. She set her look with some bronzer here and there.

The sisters turned to check each other's makeup. "Apply more bronzer, Kenz." "You forgot your lipstick Madds." They turned to fix their makeup and started to trot out with purses in hand.

Maddie followed behind and noticed their hair. "Kenzie!" She cried. "Our hair!" Mackenzie gasped and ran for the hair items as Maddie thundered for cute hair ideas.

"Quick Kenz, hand me the brush and spray." She ordered. Mackenzie sat on a chair and Maddie began to do her hair into a side braid. She set the hairstyle with some styling oil to make it look shiny.

"Thanks Madds." Mackenzie flashed her a quick grin and Madison began to do her own hair into a curled waterfall braid. Mackenzie browsed through her phone quickly as her sister finished.

Together, they rushed down the stairs and climbed into Maddie's midnight blue Lexus she received as a sixteenth birthday present.

"I really don't feel comfortable with you driving." Mackenzie groaned. Her sister shoved her playfully. "Relax Kenz." She laughed.

"And sit tight."
