Annabeth's POV:
We stepped out of the lake perfectly dry, thanks to Percy's somewhat cool water powers. We walked over to the dining pavillion where everybody was waiting. All of the campers sat in their normal places, and all of the non-camper guests sat at an extra table that was set out. Percy and I were at the head table for once, which felt nice. We could see everyone and everything and vice versa. We got our food and sat down.
"So," My head perked up at Percy's voice. "Mrs. Jackson. How does it feel to be married to the awesomest and sassiest guy in the world?"
I almost choked on the chicken that I was eating. "Well, Mr. Jackson, it's only been this way for about ten minutes. But I would say it feels the same as it always did before I was married to him."
"For now," Leo mumbled as he passed by our table. I gave Calypso a pleeding look, and she seemed to understand.
"Hey Leo!" She called, "Can you help me with- something... over there please?" She pointed to no direction in particular.
"Yeah sure babe," Leo responded. Calypso followed him out of the pavallian and mouthed 'You're welcome!'
"So guess what?" I directed my attention back to Percy as he continued talking. "I've got a whole bunch of surprises for the rest of the night, and you're going to love them!"
I smiled. "I bet I will," I leaned in and kissed him. Someone cleared their throat. Percy and I pulled apart and turned to see who it was.
It was my mother, "Sorry to interupt," She said, although I could tell she didn't really mean it. "but I belive that I will be getting on my way."
"No Mom! You should stay!" I said.
"I have seen the cerimony, that is all that I came here for and all that I needed to see."
"Oh but Mom! Please just stay for cake! Then you can go back up to Olympus! I insist!"
"Yeah Lady Athena! It'll be fun!" Percy chimed in. We both stared at him, "Oh sorry, am I supposed to call you 'Mom' now? I'm not really sure how the whole son-in-law thing works yet."
I propped my elbows up on the table and put my head in my hands. It was quite obvious that my mom thought that I was internally dying of embarresment or something, but really- I was just trying so hard not to laugh right now.
"I don't know how you put up with him Annabeth, but if it'll make you happy, I suppose that I could stay a little while longer. I have nothing pressing going on tonight or tomorrow."
"Thanks Mom," I waved as she walked back over to sit with the other kids from my cabin and probably talk about books or something. Wait a minute... "Hey Seaweed Brain?"
"Mhm?" Percy mumbled around a mouthful of mashed potatoes.
"My mom would've vaporized you if you proposed to me without asking her first-"
"Yeah, so?" He said.
"You did ask her, right?" He nodded. "And she said yes?"
"Yeah. Let me tell you the story," He looked as if his mind was wandering and he was trying to remember it. "It starts seven months ago, the morning of the day that I proposed to you."
