Hyunjin x Y/N

Part 7

When the others came back from dinner, there were several hoots as they spotted I.N and I curled up together on the couch, my head on his chest and his arms around my waist. I.N was grinning, flushed and proud, his hands tightening on my hips.

I gave Seungmin a lazy grin, and he responded by narrowing his eyes, obviously miffed that after only a few weeks, I was dating one of his best friends. My eyes instinctively slid to Hyunjin, and the look on his face took my breath away.

His expression was twisted with a cold jealousy, his lip curled with sorrow and dejection as he watched I.N press his lips against my hair.

We stared at each other for a while, and I watched him, waiting for him to relax and pretend like nothing was happening. But he didn't relax. If anything, it seemed as though he had gotten even more riled up the more he watched us.

Without warning, he turned and stalked into the Kids' shared room, closing the door quietly behind him.

I.N was suddenly murmuring in my ear, and I struggled to pull my mind away from Hyunjin.

"Sorry, love, I didn't catch that," I muttered, watching the Kids' slowly begin to get ready to go to bed. I.N didn't reply, and I inhaled sharply as his hand slid up my waist to cup my neck.

"Nothing...just that I wish we were alone again so I could kiss you for real." I shivered as his words sent a dull vibration through my body, his lips skimming across my forehead and his fingers caressing my chin softly. 

I gulped. Fuck, why is this happening to me?

Looking up at I.N, I saw him beam back at me, joy radiating off of his smile. I had wanted him to give me a smile like that for years, fantasizing about him holding me like this, and yet...now that I had finally gotten what I had wished for, my mind was thinking about another pair of hands.

I forced myself to smile. "Is that so?" I mumbled, letting my gaze travel lazily away from him, trailing absentmindedly to the room Hyunjin was in. I looked away quickly, trying hard not to focus on him anymore. It was difficult, as I.N just kept hugging me, and the Kids' began to yawn. If it were Hyunjin holding me, I had a strong feeling his hands wouldn't be so still against my body. If it were Hyunjin holding me, there would be no reason to look away from him, as he would be willingly giving me a smile that held all sorts of secrets.

Once again, my gaze slid to the Kids' rooms, and I cursed silently. I felt a rumble in I.N's chest and glanced up at him. His lids were fluttering, as though he was working hard to keep them open. Smiling softly, I placed my hand on his chest.

"Go shower, love," I whispered, pressing a light kiss to his ear. "I'll still be here."

He whined quietly, obviously unwilling to leave me. "But I want to stay with you," he muttered back, disappointed that I had seen through his facade of consciousness.

I laughed softly. "I promise, I'll still be here. Now go shower, stinky," I teased, giving him the gentlest shove with my shoulder. He gave me a reluctant smile, then slowly got up, walking to the bathroom.

Changbin, Bang Chan, Felix, and Suengmin were already in the bedroom, and I saw Han and Lee Know huddled together, grinning at each other idiotically. I rolled my eyes. It was obvious they were both into each other, but because of their status as K-Pop idols, they weren't really allowed to make it official.

I smirked as Han pressed against Lee Know, whispering something in his ear. Lee Know gulped and his eyes slid to me, panicked. I raised an eyebrow and shrugged, then pantomimed zipping my lips closed, locking it with a key, and tossing the key over my shoulder.

With that, Lee Know grabbed Han, lifted him, and silenced his yelps with a heavy kiss. I stifled a laugh in my hands as Lee Know strode into a vacant room, Han moaning into his lips. Before the door closed, I saw Lee Know flash me a grateful smile. I nodded, and then I was all alone.
