Chapter 1: Wishing star

The stars passed overhead as overworked finance workers for billionaires, Theodore. Theo hated his job, he used to work for the mafia, he was their money, hacker and plan guy. He was paid extremely well. It was thrilling for him, crime. It was after the mafia Theo was working for got busted and was all killed in the shootout between the FBI and the organization.

Theo had to leave his job and work for some billionaires. He made okay money but he did not have the thrill he once got. He found Carmen Sandiego, a TVshow about crime and stealing. He was rooting for VILE,
It was the dream organization to go to for him. He was very upset when they lost but they did make many stupid mistakes.

Theodore looked up at the night sky from the roof of his house.'I wish I could work for V.I.L.E. instead... Theo wished.

In the blink of an eye, Theodore was not in his mansion in Michigan anymore. He was in a train, a familiar red train.

In front of him, on the wall on the other side of the compartment he was in, there was a letter. It read:

Hey Theo! You are now in Carmen Sandiego, and you are 14 now. In the same train that Carmen Sandiego wrapped crackle up. There is a briefcase on the right with all the papers you need and a co outer as well as a phone, both untraceable. your welcome. Good luck.

Theo smirked. He did not even question it, he was in the mafia, he will take the opportunities given no questions asked. Gen though he was back in his 14 year old body he was not angry, rather delighted. On his eyes, this just means he gets to live longer. Why be sad?

He recalled the scene with crackle in a red coat, and quickly grabbed his briefcase and walked across the corridor, trying to find crackle. A

An older lady in red with her hood up walked past him. Carmen Sandiego! He thinks. He continued walking until he came across a compartment with a red cloak and hat.

Theo immediately removed the cloak and hat, laying him down on the cushion. Ensuring that the chase guy will not find crackle.

Theo peaked his head out of the compartment. He saw an out of breath man in a suit,running across the corridor. Before stopping, looking out of the window shouting an obnoxiously loud "le FEM ROUGE!"

Theo sighed and looked back at the unconscious crackle who was stirring awake.

Crackle POV:

As he regained consciousness, he was immediately overcome by anger. He sprinted up, looking straight out of the window. Fisting his hands in anger shouting "Black Sheep!"

"What is with people shouting on the train." A clam voice sounded next to him.

His training sprinted into action, putting himself into a defensive stance. He had a real shock when he saw a young kid sitting across him calmly, working on something with his laptop.

He changed his composure immediately, processing that this mission is a fail. Not wanting to make this kid suspicious.

"Hey kid, sorry for shouting. Have you seen a lady in a red cloak somewhere?" Asked crackle nervously.

"Carmen Sandiego got off the train at the stop before this one, crackle." The kid,Theo said.

Crackle narrowed his eyes suspiciously, he did not detect any ill intent from the kid, and what's more it's a kid! Does VILE hire kids now?

"Did VILE send you?" Questioned crackle.

"No," began the kid. "I saved you from being captured by law enforcement tho, you were wrapped up in Car,em Sandiego's cloak and hat.

A investigator was chasing after Carmen Sandiego, he would have found you and taken you in for questioning if it weren't for me." The kid exclaimed calmly, still typing away on the laptop, with one hand pointing at the red bundle at the side

Crackle observed the kid critically in front of him.

"In exchange for my help in not getting your memories taken away by Doctor Bellum. I wish to have an audience with your leaders."

Crackle was very very very suspicious of the kid now, how can he know all this things? And he was gonna get his brain wiped if he was seen?! He had ale tire on it in VILE academy where they said that, but he thought it was an exaggeration. Though he still did not trust the youth in front of him.

But at the same time, he thought, 'I could go on call and ask them right now. VILE won't really be endangered by this kid, worse come to worse they would just tie up some loose ends.'

He nodded to himself mentally in his mind. "I'll go ask my superiors, but don't count on it kid." Crackle said, exiting the carriage to go to an empty
one far away from the rest.

Theodore POV:

Crackle went out of the compartment, presumably to talk to his superiors. He knew how to get an audience with these sorts of people. For the past few hours he has just been making more and more money through his laptop. He scammed, he stole he by any means possible went and got money, transferring it to his bank account. Not surprising, the greatest money person in the world has gotten mega rich in a couple hours.

He smirked when crackle entered again with a phone. He looked up from his laptop and saw crackle setting the burner phone down opposite him , bowing and leaving the compartment silently.

"Theodore Benttercourt, we thank you for preventing the capture of our operative. What pray tell do you want." A disembodied voice asked.

"A job." Said Theo clamly.

The voice on the other side was silent.

"What would a 14 year old boy want with a job at VILE, this is no game."

Theo smirked and said. "I do it for the thrill, here are my credentials." Theo said.

Turning the computer around, he showed the amount of money he made in that hour.

The voices on the otherside was silent.

"I made this much in just a few hours. I wish to apply for the job of manager, tech guy, finance guy, hacker etc. I assure you I would be able to do a lot for this organisation."

"You shall come over to our base and show your loyalty to us. If you do not prove yourself there shall be consequences."

The phone turned off. Theo smirked. Cracker walked in, wordlessly he gave me pills, i swallowed it, and my world turned black.
