The candlelight flickered against the grey stone walls like creeping shadows as a tall man walked swiftly through the halls. he was clothed in a gold and black tunic that shined beautifully against the candlelight as he walked. Deep brown eyes and dark raven hair adorned the man as he quickened his pace, sweat pouring from his face as if he ran a marathon. Cold hands slammed open a tall oak door, making a few guards jump in surprise as he moved through the room. Men knelt in respect for the man and one spoke.

"What are your orders, my Lord?"

The young boy said softly, keeping his eyes to the ground with steel precision, as if looking into the eyes of the authoratative man would melt him into a puddle of water. The rough, deep, gravelly voice that responded sent a jolt of fear and slight panic down the poor knight's spine.

"I believe it is time for our dear friends, to find Matteus. Send out the letters."

The knight nodded and saluted the king before rushing out of the room, his armor rustling. Not once did he glance up to see the dark purple mass he had just called Lord. The young knight moved with haste and purpose to the Pidgeon House. Scrolls filled and spilled out of the boxes surrounding the cooing pigeons as he worked franticly to tie the parchments of paper to the pigeons legs and release them. Thousands upon thousands of pigeons flooded the night sky carrying letters for any able-bodied adventurer. The moonlight creating shadows on the ground of their little bodies.

Alduin sat in her cottage on the outskirts of the woods. A small thatched roof and mud walls are what she called home. She had gotten a decent amount of herbs and berries from her garden and was preparing them for the market in the morning when a soft flutter and coo were heard outside her window, she tilted her head as she looked to the window with curiosity. She placed the bundle of herbs on the oak countertop and went to the window. Unlatching the window, the pigeon hopped right up and bobbed its head in curiosity making Alduin smile warmly. "Hello little puff, what news do you bring me tonight?"
