It was weird how she came to feel like that.

She had liked girls and boys for as long as she could remember, but she definitely preferred the former.

She had been so sure that she would never be the type of idol to fall for a teammate. A job was a job, and the heart needed to be pushed aside when working.

Well.

How wrong she was.

Since Minx pre-debut, there had been something about her.

Something about Lee Yubin.

Something that she couldn't put a word to—not back then. She just cared a lot for her; a lot more than what she cared for the others. A lot more than what she used to care about anyone, really.

As time went on, things changed and she realized a lot about herself.

Kim Bora had fallen for the former maknae, and she wasn't sure when it had happened.

She had always given herself the perfect excuse to justify the love she had for her.

Lee Yubin was the youngest of the group back then. That had to be it. That must have been the reason why Sua felt so protective and why she had this favoritism about her, a bias that was hard to miss. That would be believable; nevertheless, things stayed the same even after being introduced to Lee Gahyeon, their youngest member. Maybe it was nostalgia because Dami had been the baby of the group first. Sua had gotten used to it; attached to it. Of course, that must have been it for sure this time, right? 

Then again, all that changed the moment Bora started seeing Yubin as more than just a cute young girl. That panda-lover had become a woman before her eyes, flourishing into a different kind of beautiful; a different kind of sweet.

Sua started to find her hands lingering longer every time she hugged Yubin's slim waist; her fingers sliding around her body, looking for more than soft fabric. It all started to feel very different. Somehow it also started to feel like a type of wrong.

Bora was known for being a butt-grabber among the members. That was her way to relieve stress and the gayness inside her. Besides, it was a habit that was hard to control since primary school. Seven-year-old Sua would spank the butts of her friends like the way her older brother used to do it with her in a friendly, innocent way. Eventually, some parents found her ways improper of a young lady—not to say indecent—so she only did it with her closest female friends whenever they didn't have too many eyes on them. 

Managers were okay with letting fans know about Bora's butt-grabbing because she was supposed to have the "weird, bold, hyperactive, and loud" role. It was okay for her to be grabby—for her to do liberal little things; it sold well; it made them money.

However, when Sua did it to Dami, she felt something inside her wake up—a spark that scared her. It was very different from the naughty heat that sometimes peeked around her mind when teasing other members. With Dami, she was afraid to start a fire she wouldn't be able to put out. 

Yubin always gave in to her touch behind cameras, but she had also literally run away from the dance when they were under the public eye. 

Sua wondered why Dami would be so afraid of people noticing the unscripted closeness they shared. It wasn't like they were making out in front of the cameras, even if Sua would fantasize about it.

And Sua was aware of how cold and persecuting the world could be, so maybe Dami's fearfulness was well placed.

Sometimes, a few of their managers and staff members gave Sua and Dami a weird look when they interacted too much, especially whenever Sua was flirty, gay, and daring behind cameras because that meant that she wasn't pretending to be, as they put it, controversial. It meant that maybe Sua was like that; flirty, gay, and daring. And that was not ladylike. Not in Asia, anyway. That also meant that Dami was okay with that type of behavior, and that along was also problematic in the eyes of any honorable Korean.
