the sun rose lazily over the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the city as it began its day. it was just another typical morning at PK academy, with students filing into the school in their usual haphazard manner. some were rushing to make it before the bell, while others strolled casually, chatting and laughing.among them was y/n, who had finally returned to school after a brief absence. she looked a bit weary but was in good spirits. she was excited to be back amidst the usual daily chaos.
saiki had been going through his usual routine, blending into the background like a totally normal person would. his day started with the typical humdrum of his classes with the occasional misadventure brought on by his classmates. despite his extraordinary psychic abilities, he often preferred to keep a low profile, especially when things were proceeding relatively smoothly.
today, however, would prove to be anything but ordinary.
the first period of the day was english class, where y/n settled into her seat, ready to tackle the assignments. she was focused on her book when a loud commotion erupted from the back of the room. nendou had apparently decided that today was the perfect day to engage in a dramatic reenactment of a classic novel's climax. his antics, complete with exaggerated gestures and booming voice, drew the attention of the entire class.
saiki sat at his desk, trying to block out the chaos. he cast a subtle glance toward y/n, who was trying her best to ignore the commotion. she seemed to be succeeding, her focus unwavering as she scribbled notes furiously.
little did she know, the day would soon turn into a string of increasingly absurd and dangerous events.
after english, y/n had math class. she was enjoying the lesson, finding the problems to be a welcome distraction from her recent troubles. as she worked diligently on her equations, her classmate, a boy with a passion for pranks, decided it was time to introduce a new game. he had rigged a rubber band to shoot across the room, aiming for maximum damage.
the rubber band flew through the air with surprising accuracy, landing squarely on y/n's head. she blinked in confusion as the band snapped against her forehead. her immediate reaction was to swat at it, but the distraction caused her to lose focus on her math problems. she fumbled with her pencil, nearly knocking over her inkwell.
saiki observed this from his seat. he couldn't help but wince at the situation. he used his telekinesis to subtly catch the falling inkwell mid-air, preventing it from spilling all over y/n's notebook. he then carefully guided the rubber band back into the prankster's desk, ensuring the chaos was kept to a minimum.
y/n, unaware of the near disaster, continued working, still puzzled by the sudden rubber band attack.
her next class was science, where she was assigned to work on a group project involving a chemical experiment. the project required mixing various substances, and y/n was paired with a notoriously clumsy classmate who had a habit of spilling things.
as they worked, y/n's partner accidentally knocked over a beaker filled with a frothy, bubbling liquid. the contents of the beaker began to fizz and bubble uncontrollably. y/n tried to stabilize the situation by carefully moving the beaker to a safer location, but her partner's panicked movements only made things worse.
'good grief, again?'
saiki observed this and quickly used his telekinesis to calm the bubbling liquid, carefully guiding it back into the beaker and stabilizing it. he then adjusted the chemicals to ensure they were safely contained. y/n was oblivious to the near-explosion and kept working on her project, commenting on how strange it was that things were going so smoothly for once.
