As the months passed, Elena and Ethan continued to grow closer. Their relationship deepened, and they enjoyed discovering new things about each other. Despite the happiness they shared, they were about to face a challenge that would test their bond.

One crisp winter afternoon, Elena and Ethan were studying at a local coffee shop. The shop was warm and cozy, filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and pastries. Elena was working on a history project while Ethan reviewed some biology notes.

As they worked side by side, Elena noticed Ethan's brow furrowing in concentration. "Everything okay?" she asked, glancing up from her textbook.

Ethan sighed, putting his pen down. "Actually, I've been feeling a bit stressed lately. School is getting more demanding, and I've got a lot on my plate. I didn't want to bring it up, but it's starting to affect me."

Elena's concern grew. "I'm sorry to hear that. Is there anything specific that's bothering you? Maybe I can help."

Ethan shook his head. "It's just a lot of little things piling up. Between exams, extracurriculars, and college applications, I'm feeling overwhelmed. I'm worried it's affecting our time together."

Elena reached out and took his hand. "I understand. We've both been busy, and it's easy to get overwhelmed. But we're a team, remember? We can work through this together."

Ethan looked at her, appreciating her support. "I know you're right. I just don't want to let my stress push you away. I want us to keep growing together, not apart."

Elena squeezed his hand reassuringly. "We'll figure it out. Maybe we can find a balance and make time for each other even when things get hectic."

To help Ethan manage his stress, Elena suggested they set aside specific times to relax and unwind together. They started planning regular date nights, even if they were simple activities like watching a movie at home or going for a walk in the park.

One evening, as they walked through the park, Elena noticed Ethan seemed more at ease. "How are you feeling now?" she asked, glancing at him.

Ethan smiled, his expression more relaxed. "I'm feeling better. Taking breaks and spending time together really helps. Thanks for being patient with me."

Elena smiled back, her heart warmed by his words. "I'm glad to hear that. Remember, we're in this together. We just have to support each other through the tough times."

Their relationship continued to strengthen as they navigated their busy schedules and supported one another. However, just when they thought they had found their rhythm, another challenge arose.

One afternoon, as Elena was studying in her room, her phone buzzed with a message from Blair.

Blair: Hey, can we talk? There's something I need to tell you.

Elena's heart skipped a beat. Blair had been one of her closest friends, and she couldn't imagine what could be troubling her. She quickly replied.

Elena: Sure, what's going on?

Blair: Can we meet up after school? It's something I'd rather discuss in person.

Elena agreed, feeling a mix of curiosity and concern. After school, she met Blair at their usual café. Blair was already there, looking anxious as she sipped her drink.

"Hey, Blair," Elena said, sliding into the seat across from her. "What's up? You seemed worried."

Blair took a deep breath, her eyes darting around as if searching for the right words. "I've been meaning to tell you something, and it's not easy for me to say. Ethan and I... we've been talking, and I think he might be pulling away from you."
