"Maya, I don't know what's going on, but I'm here for you," Jamal said, his voice filled with concern.

I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him. "Thanks, Jamal. I think I'm starting to figure some things out."

As I held the necklace, I felt a surge of energy run through me. Suddenly, visions began to flash before my eyes - images of my grandmother, of the mysterious land, and of a power that lay within me.

"Maya, what's happening?" Jamal asked, his voice distant.

I couldn't respond. I was too busy trying to make sense of the visions. They were fragmented and unclear, but they seemed to be pointing to something.

As suddenly as they started, the visions stopped. I was left feeling breathless and confused.

"Maya, talk to me," Jamal said, shaking my shoulders.

I looked up at him, trying to focus. "I...I think I'm starting to remember something," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

"What is it?" Jamal asked, his eyes locked on mine.

I hesitated, trying to put the pieces together. "I think my grandmother was trying to tell me something. Something about my power."

Jamal's eyes widened. "Your power?"

I nodded. "Yes. I think I have some kind of ability. And I think my grandmother was trying to help me understand it."

As I spoke, the room began to spin around me. I felt myself being pulled into a vortex of colors and lights.

"Maya, hold on!" Jamal shouted, his voice fading into the distance.

I tried to respond, but my voice was lost in the void. I was gone, transported to a realm beyond my wildest dreams.

Jamal's POV:
"Oh my God what just happened"
I whispered as I stared at the dark hole in front of me
I started pacing as I held my head in panic
My sister just got swallowed by a big hole and I don't know where mum is
Okay so Maya doesn't know I'm her brother but I know she's MY sister and the mum I've never met is missing and oh my God
I thought wildly

"

I need to find Maya!" I exclaimed, my mind racing with panic. I looked around frantically, but the room was empty. The hole in front of me seemed to be pulsing with an otherworldly energy.

I took a deep breath and tried to think clearly. I had to find a way to follow Maya. I examined the hole more closely, and as I did, I noticed a faint glow emanating from it.

Without hesitation, I stepped into the hole, feeling a strange sensation wash over me. The world around me blurred and distorted, and I felt myself being pulled through a vortex of colors and lights.

As I emerged on the other side, I found myself in a strange, unfamiliar world. The air was thick with an eerie, pulsating energy, and the sky was a deep, foreboding purple.

I looked around, trying to get my bearings. That's when I saw Maya, standing a short distance away. She was surrounded by a halo of light, and her eyes seemed to be glowing with an otherworldly power.

"Maya!" I shouted, running towards her. "Maya, is that you?"

She turned to me, her eyes flashing with recognition. "Jamal?" she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "How did you get here?"

I skidded to a stop beside her, my heart pounding in my chest. "I followed you through the hole," I said, still trying to wrap my head around what was happening. "What is this place?"
