As the evening wore on, the sun dipping below the horizon, J-hope continued driving in circles, his movements increasingly aimless. The car's interior felt cold and oppressive, the silence between you heavy and filled with unspoken tension.

Despite your protests, J-hope remained steadfast, not once letting you out of his sight. The minutes turned into hours, and with each passing moment, your frustration and desperation grew. You tried to escape the car multiple times, each attempt thwarted by J-Hope's firm grip and determined presence.

Your heart ached with the relentless fight, and your eyes became misty with tears of frustration. The sense of helplessness was overwhelming as you realized that arguing or struggling was only draining you further.

J-Hope's face was a mask of resolve, and though you could see the strain in his eyes, he showed no sign of relenting. The weight of the situation settled heavily on your shoulders, each breath feeling like a battle as the evening dragged on.

Just as you were about to give up on trying to get through to J-hope, your phone buzzed with a new message. With shaking hands, you pulled it out and read Eunwoo's text:

"Why did you not come? Sir canceled our internship. He looked angry and disappointed."

The words hit you like a punch to the gut. The realization of what you'd missed, combined with the anger and disappointment in Eunwoo's message, made your heart sink even further. Tears welled up in your eyes as you stared at the screen, the weight of the missed opportunity, and the growing tension in the car, almost too much to bear.

The sky roared with a deep rumble, the kind that sent shivers down your spine, hinting at the downpour about to drench the world outside. J-hope's car rolled to a stop in front of the girl's hostel, the atmosphere inside just as tense as the one brewing in the sky. The once lively energy between you had been replaced by a frigid silence, each second stretching into an eternity.

J-hope, his expression as cold as the rain-soaked wind that seeped through the slightly open window, turned to you. His heart clenched with regret, but he kept his composure, his face betraying nothing. He leaned in slowly; his movements measured and unfastened your seatbelt. The click of the buckle was loud in the otherwise quiet car. He then reached across you, pushing the door open with a soft creak.

But you didn't move. Your gaze remained fixed on the dashboard, your thoughts spiraling around the internship you had lost, the opportunity snatched away. Disappointment hung heavy in the air, mixing with the scent of rain and the lingering trace of his cologne.

J-hope, sensing your hesitation, clenched his jaw.

J-HOPE: (quietly, filled with regret) You should go.

He wanted to say more, to explain himself, but the words stuck in his throat.

Still, you remained motionless, the ache in your chest growing with each passing second. The thought of stepping out, of leaving him and the lost opportunity behind, felt unbearable. The memories of the day's events played in your mind like a cruel loop, and all you could think was how unfair it all felt.
