Early sunny morning.
Tenya Iida is on the way to his agency and he, as always, is 30 minutes early.
He had no reason to hurry, he looked up at the blue sky with a sullen face of person with bad sleep, went to the vending machine and bought himself a can of orange juice. Merging back with the hurrying crowd, he looked ahead of himself, thinking about the upcoming work today, until his eyes firmly caught something in the distance.
Familiar face appeared on the billboard with perfume advertisement.
"Aoyama san" - crossed his mind.
Iida's thoughts immediately became entangled in a ball of mixed memories. Crowd in front began to move and his body did not stop for a second, moving with It.
All thoughts about work flew out of his head, replaced by intense thoughts about an his old friend.
"We invited him when we tried to organize class reunion a few times, but he refused. He says that he is not a part of the plass and never was. Judging exclusively by his behavior, there is clearly no interest in meeting us.
But I fear the reason might be in his principles - what if he is in a bad place mentally, but his experience makes him think that he only deserves loneliness now...or... maybe not and as Hagakure san assumed on his graduation day: ..."
Part of the ex-Class A students standing far from the front rows in the croud of relatives and friends of graduating students, wearing some unusual clothes to not be recognized. The binoculars Hagakure was holding were floating in the air.
Hagakure: I think he really did not invite any of us for a reason! Our faces must make him uncomfortable with all the memories that they bring back to him, and he must have just started moving forward from the past!
Mina: I dont believe that and how are we gonna know for sure, if we are just hiding like idiots!
Iida: If Hagakure san's assumption is right, then it's better this way! Former representative chopped the air with hand.
Deku stood on tiptoe with binoculars: "He's next, behind the curtain!"Aoyama, dressed in the academy uniform, but with his hair long and curled now, held his palms together in front of his face with his eyes closed.
Mina snatched out her binoculars and peered.
"We should congratulate him! This day must be so important to him! It's even more important to him than our graduation was to us, after all... it all affected him even more!"
"I agree, Mina, but you can be a little more quiet, everyone turns around here," confused Jiro said through her teeth, trying not to meet with the very dissatisfied gaze of the woman next to her.The pair of heels clicked on the stage and another announcement made by director was heard through the speakers all over the stage.
YUUGA. AOYAMA!
Aoyama smiled broadly at the director, leaning over and thanking him.
It's finally your turn, Aoyama Yuga, right? - the director said quietly handing him the certificate
Aoyama was handed a microphone while his hands couldn't stop shaking~
"I want to thank... EVERYONE. Today... This might sound odd from someone with genes like mine, but I am quite an unlucky person. Without courage and kindness of people I've met, I would never became a hero in my life. Thanking everyone is quite popular thing to do on graduation speeches, but I am quite popular too." Holding the microphone in front of his chest, he suddenly bowed to the waist. -"Merci!"
Applause rang out, corners of Aoyama's lips lowered while he was holding most of his feelings inside.
- "CAN'T STOP TWINKLING, YOU SLAY-"
In panic, Iida grabbed and promptly respectfully covered Mina's mouth with his palm, but she still looked like a time bomb.Aoyama's cheeks turned red, but he continued into the microphone : "There is something else I want to say." The blond stood exactly in the middle of the stage, setting the microphone in the air in front of him, he lowered his head and after a few moments music started playing in the speakers.
"At first I was afraid, I was petrified!"
"Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side!"
"But then I spent so many night thinking how you did me wrong!"
"And I grew strong!"
"And I learned how to get along!..."
His performance was so enthusiastic that the crowd began to clap to the beat and his smile became a little wider.
Aoyama spread his arms passionately. He was just as artictic as he did when they knew him, but it felt like his spirit was more free now.
In the middle of the song even such a mountain of muscles as Iida could not restrain squeals and dancing of emotional Mina and he gave up. Actually, he could not be indifferent either hearing how much Aoyama was charging the crowd with his energy. Tenya smiled at him standing there, far far away on the stage.
Iida returns from her memories, facing the door to the agency.
"Anyway, something is the reason not to contact us."
He pulls his phone out of his pocket, stopping his gaze on the main screen"Would it be appropriate, considering how little we communicated?"
