The moon hung high and full in the night sky, casting its silver light over the Nightshade Forest.

The once vibrant and lively atmosphere of the Nightshade Feast had faded, replaced by a solemn quiet that settled over the village. The revelry of the previous evening was now a distant memory, and the aftermath of the feast had left the pack with an air of unease.

Aria wandered through the forest, her footsteps soft against the fallen leaves. The cool night air was a welcome relief from the heat of the feast, and she hoped that the solitude would help her clear her mind. But the events of the Nightshade Feast still weighed heavily on her heart. The humiliation she had endured at Lydia's hands lingered like a dark cloud, and the sense of isolation she felt was more profound than ever.

The forest was a place of refuge for Aria, a place where she could escape the scrutiny of the pack and find some semblance of peace. She had come here often in the past few days, seeking solace among the trees and the whispering winds. But tonight, the forest felt different, as if it too was holding its breath, waiting for something to happen.

As she walked deeper into the woods, Aria could feel the familiar tug of her powers, a sensation that had become increasingly unpredictable. Her ability to control the elements had been erratic since the second trial, and she struggled to keep her emotions in check. The slightest provocation seemed to set off a chain reaction, and she was afraid of what might happen if she lost control again.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a sudden rustling in the underbrush. Aria's senses heightened, and she turned to face the source of the noise. From the shadows emerged Lydia, her presence a dark contrast against the moonlit backdrop. Lydia's eyes gleamed with a mixture of malice and satisfaction as she approached, her stride confident and unyielding.

"Aria," Lydia called out, her voice dripping with disdain. "Out for a midnight stroll, are we? Or are you just trying to hide from the pack?"

Aria tensed, her anger flaring at the sight of Lydia. She had hoped for a night of peace, but it seemed that Lydia was intent on continuing their confrontation. "What do you want, Lydia?"

Lydia's smile was cold and calculating. "I couldn't help but notice how well you handled yourself last night. Or rather, how poorly you handled it. The pack is still talking about your little dance.

 It's amusing, really."

Aria's fists clenched at her sides, her frustration bubbling to the surface. "I'm done with your games, Lydia. What is it that you want from me?"

Lydia's eyes narrowed, and she took a step closer, her presence almost suffocating. "I want you to understand your place, Aria. You're an outsider here, a burden. And until you accept that, you'll always be a target."

The tension between them was palpable, and Aria could feel her emotions spiraling out of control. Her powers, already on edge, began to respond to her heightened emotions. She could sense the crackle of energy around her, the subtle shift in the air that signaled an impending eruption.

"Stop it," Aria said through gritted teeth, trying to force her powers back into submission. "Just leave me alone."

Lydia's laughter was harsh and mocking. "Make me. Show me what you're really capable of, if you dare."
